Edit warring[edit]

This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can ask another question on your talk page, contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse.

An anon has been pushing the retention of an unsupported claim on The Conversation (website), with multiple rollbacks including [here.

Note also the talk page. I'm not able to continue paying attention to this, unfortunately.

Thanks! --Chriswaterguy talk 21:24, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

Commented and watchlisted. If the IP editor persists without joinig the talk page discussion and addressing the concerns, WP:RPP may have to be the next step. Huon (talk) 21:52, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

Blue Future Filters Inc[edit]

I wanted to let you know I tagged this article from February 2006 for speedy deletion (G11) as my searches found nothing good aside from passing mentions (browser and Highbeam) and it seemed better to speedy than nominate at AfD. Cheers! SwisterTwister talk 05:44, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

I can't remember the article or what role I had in editing it, so I'll trust your judgement :). --Chriswaterguy talk 04:17, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

Invitation to subscribe to the edit filter mailing list[edit]

Hi, as a user in the edit filter manager user group we wanted to let you know about the new wikipedia-en-editfilters mailing list. As part of our recent efforts to improve the use of edit filters on the English Wikipedia it has been established as a venue for internal discussion by edit filter managers regarding private filters (those only viewable by administrators and edit filter managers) and also as a means by which non-admins can ask questions about hidden filters that wouldn't be appropriate to discuss on-wiki. As an edit filter manager we encourage you to subscribe; the more users we have in the mailing list the more useful it will be to the community. If you subscribe we will send a short email to you through Wikipedia to confirm your subscription, but let us know if you'd prefer another method of verification. I'd also like to take the opportunity to invite you to contribute to the proposed guideline for edit filter use at WP:Edit filter/Draft and the associated talk page. Thank you! UNESCO project to improve water related articles on Wikipedia[edit]

Dear Chris

I saw you were a member of Wikiproject Water and thought you might be interested in a project I'm working on. I'm currently Wikimedian in Residence at UNESCO and running a project to copy text from open license UNESCO publications into Wikipedia as either new articles or to improve existing articles. One of these documents is the 2016 UN World Water Development Report, Water and Jobs. If you are interested in taking part please have a look at the project here and message me on my talk page with any questions.

Thanks very much

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Scale of justice 2.svg Hello, Chriswaterguy. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
