Speedy deletion nomination of Irene Kane[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Irene Kane requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of Jodie Fisher[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Jodie Fisher has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Off2riorob (talk) 13:47, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Cyrus Harvey Jr.[edit]

Hi Codwiki. Thank you for using the biography template. However, please consider developing the article in your sandbox first before moving it to a live page. It might get deleted, because all the template instructions are still visible. Happy editing! --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 15:20, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Please add comments to the bottom of discussion rather than the top[edit]

WRT medical wiki[edit]

I prefer having all the details here. Almost all other online medical Wikis are little more than old mirrors of Wikipedia content often without proper attribution. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:57, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Proposal[edit]

I did propose a "clinical medicine" / "technical" Wikipedia when I first began editing 4 years ago. The people who where here longer than I felt it was a bad idea. I know agree with them as we just do not have the people power. We are a small group of ad hock editors who are all volunteers.

If you had a group of 100 dedicated physicians who would join us if we where to create a dedicated technical wiki than I would be interested and push stronger for the creation of one. WRT other medical wikis no one else approaches the activity of editors here. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 03:54, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

There is simple english Wikipedia if you feel the English one is too technical. With the interlinks people should be able to figure most of Wikipedia out. This is why medical students us use instead of Uptodate as per my discussion with some yesterday. --Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:56, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Back Door Man[edit]

I don't know why, but for some reason, I found your edit reason for Back Door Man hilariously funny. And I felt like I have to randomly tell you that. Housewatcher (talk) 05:44, 30 October 2011 (UTC) You are welcome. Codwiki (talk) 17:46, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Text Input Device[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Text Input Device has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No useful content, no sources, not worth including in encyclopedia in present state.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD 22:41, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Nomination of Text Input Device for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Text Input Device is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Text Input Device until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. PamD 16:31, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
