Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Savoury (small dish), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Medeberry[edit]
Hello Cooke -- nice of you to write. I'm in Vancouver. I have researched wolfberry for 7 years, including reading translated Chinese literature, studying Linnaeus' monographs, interpreting all the western medical literature ever published on it then writing a science-based book, http://wolfberry.org. Botanically, there is no connection whatsoever to the name medeberry. There is no USDA reference to it, and in fact, there is no verifiable reference to it anywhere -- science, marketing, vernacular, or in Vancouver's Chinatown.
I'm interested in where you found the name. But in editing the article, medeberry cannot be accepted as valid etymology, especially in the context of a section in which the researched reference by GRIN of the USDA does not include it as a synonym, http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/taxon.pl?22939

Hello again, Cooke -- As there isn't a verifiable or scientific reference to medeberry, I remain unconvinced that the name is accurate. It certainly isn't in common use. Further, my guess is that medeberry is a misnomer similar to "medlar" which -- even in China -- has been used to name wolfberry. You can look up medlar on Wikipedia, and see there is no relation.
I interpret Wikipedia as a complete encyclopedia that should give scientific background wherever it exists. The USDA GRIN database is not an American-only database, but rather one that derives from research around the world. If you know a better one, then refer to it.
Meanwhile, I'm back where we were at the beginning: every credible reference I can check reveals medeberry as an obscure name at best, probably an inaccurate name, and certainly an uncommon name not worthy of being in the encyclopedia.--Paul144 (talk) 02:14, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Berry pleydell[edit]

Speedy deletion of Stella McCusker[edit]
A tag has been placed on Stella McCusker requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The article Blue line (bell ringing) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The article has been a stub for the last 6 years, it has never been improved. All the material on this page is also reproduced on Method ringing, which used to have the only link here. No redirects point here, they would be better pointing to Method ringing in any case.
