File permission problem with File:Csaba-Zvekan.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Csaba-Zvekan.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 04:37, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Content[edit]

I can take a look later on, although it probably won't be until this evening due to work. In the meantime, try taking a look at WP:NPOV and see if that will be of some help; also make sure that you have several reliable sources that are not published by the subject and cover the subject in significant detail.

On a side note, could I ask why you have a bot template on your userpage? That template is reserved for approved bot accounts only, and if you're not running one, it really doesn't belong there. Hersfold non-admin(t/a/c) 15:07, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a page you've been working on, or did you want me to review the deleted article? Hersfold non-admin(t/a/c) 15:12, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Now that I'm on the right account, I can see that you've had three pages deleted, but they were all deleted back in 2006. At this point it'll probably be easier to start from scratch. How about you start by making a user subpage (at User talk:Csabi911/article or something) and start writing a rough draft. Once you've gotten some content in there, let me know and I'll see what we can do with it. The two links I have you earlier should be some help, but if you have any questions don't hesitate to let me know. Hersfold (t/a/c) 23:50, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'll cover the picture first - it looks like OTRS needs some sort of confirmation about who took the picture and what licenses it was released under. You'll need to email them again with this information; they should have sent a response to you, which probably outlines the problems more clearly. If not, you may want to ask an OTRS volunteer directly about what the issue was.
As for the article, the big thing you need right now is sources. You don't have any throughout the article, and these are required, not only to verify what you've added in but also to demonstrate notability. Reading through the article, I don't immediately see that he meets any of the criteria listed for musicians listed at WP:MUSIC.
Take some time to read through those pages and see if you can fix those issues; once you've done so, let me know. If you need any help, feel free to ask. Hersfold (t/a/c) 03:17, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May 2010[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page Csaba Zvekan. Blank pages can confuse readers, and are overall not helpful to the Wikipedia project; furthermore, blanking a page is not the same as deleting it.

If the article you blanked is a duplicate of another article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the appropriate deletion process. Favonian (talk) 22:25, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to the page Csaba Zvekan has been reverted, as it removed all content from the page without explanation. Please do not do this, as it is considered vandalism; use the sandbox for testing. If you think the page should be deleted, see this page for instructions. Thank you. Favonian (talk) 22:27, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to Csaba Zvekan has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Sorry I wasn't logged in. I thought that the Creative Commons rights granted would be enough . But I guess the GNU was missing. My mistake. Thanks for correcting all the mistakes we made for Killing Machine . Do I still have to send an email to address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org ?

79.154.202.3 (talk) 15:57, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

email with permisssion has been sent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org

79.154.202.3 (talk) 16:01, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK now I'm logged it and confirm the above statements Csabi911 (talk) 16:03, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, alright. That was just what I was going to recommend. Please also upload the image to Wikimedia Commons and place {{OTRS pending}} on the image page.
Someone will reply to your email, indicating whether the content and your license is acceptable and update the page to indicate that the confirmation of the license has been received. De728631 (talk) 16:04, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think I have done it. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Csaba-Zvekan.jpg please check if you got spare time . Again, thanks for all your help .

Your report at WP:AIV[edit]

Removing content is not ncessarily vandalism. If you believe this is some sort of pattern or block evasion, that needs to be mentioned and supported with diffs in your report. Thanks for taking the time to help out and feel free to message me if you have any questions. Tiderolls 23:58, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I guess you're right . However we had problems in the past with a user Heavygtr666 who is too close to the subject and erases factual data . I reported him and his IP addresss when he doesn't feel like he has to log on and erase content. His name is Peter Scheithauer and is mentioned in the article as the founder of the band. He lives in Strasbourg and one could check the IP address to see where it's coming from . Thanks for helping out . Csabi911 (talk) 00:05, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was pretty sure there was more to the matter or you wouldn't have made the report. Blocks for sockpuppeting are not unusual from AIV reports (that's one of the reasons I left your report live), but some evidence should be produced. If it's a long-term abuse situation WP:ANI might be a venue to consider, albeit a more slow moving process. See ya 'round Tiderolls 01:12, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just logged in to find out that he erased things again. I will look into your proposition of WP:ANI. Perhaps you can help me on that ? Thank you for your help. Csabi911 (talk) 18:58, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP:ABUSE[edit]

Sorry, but all the reports (of which I saw) have been rejected as there was no blocks at all. This is not AIV (but even then some were not accepted.) ~~Ebe123~~ → report 22:15, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 31[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lawrence Paterson, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Heavy metal and Forbidden (album) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 17:06, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ohh yeah you're right . I see the mistake now. I'll correct it right away Csabi911 (talk) 17:46, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Maor Appelbaum has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no indication of notability. Only reference given does not talk about him but only lists him in a list of tags. Only other external link is to his own website. Claims to awards not backed up by references.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 09:29, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've improved the article and added some more citations and verifiable resources from third party sites. Csabi911 (talk) 11:10, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Descent[edit]

The article to which you link rates the album 7/10. If you insist on keeping the 10/10 rating, you need a citation. In any case, it's dishonest to link only the favorable review. Someoneinmyheadbutit'snotme (talk) 18:03, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

December 2013[edit]

Information icon Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit that you made has been reverted or removed because it was a misuse of a warning or blocking template. Please use the user warnings sandbox for any tests you may want to do, or take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. Thank you. Placing 3 warnings in one day when the editor has only made 1 single edit is wholly inappropriate, bordering on harassment. ES&L 12:17, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Garry King, you may be blocked from editing. Dl2000 (talk) 03:33, 3 August 2015 (UTC) I meant to do a speedy deletion but since I am the creator of the page I was making a blank. Which probably was not the right way to do it. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Csaba Zvekan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for Deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
