MP photos[edit]

Hallo, Interesting to see the new official photos - but you created File:Jared O'Mara MP - official photo 2017.jpg with the name Andrea Leadsom attached! I've corrected that one, but depending on how you were working you might like to check the others. Best wishes. PamD 19:09, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

And I see that my local chap is not yet in Commons or in his article - https://beta.parliament.uk/media/pn90UVZG . Are you working your way through them all eventually, or should I try to work out how to follow your process and do it myself? PamD 19:24, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
Ignore that - I've done it myself (see David Morris (Conservative politician). Struggled to get it to accept 2017 as date (is there evidence as to whether it was June or July they took them? Irritating that they don't give exact date), but found out how eventually! PamD 19:47, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
https://pds.blog.parliament.uk/2017/07/21/mp-official-portraits-open-source-images/ The article I've linked (which has the confirmation of licence on it) says that all the photos were done as the MPs were being sworn into the new Parliament- that happened the week after the election on June 8th, so they were all taken in June.
Thanks. That seems verging onto "Original Research" as it involves knowing the date of the swearing-in, but I guess it's OK! I've left feedback on the site to say that a more direct link to date and photographer would be useful for re-use of the images. Thanks for your work! PamD 20:31, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

You may be interested in making use of the new photographs in c:Category:Official United Kingdom Parliamentary photographs 2017. A batch upload project is creating the full set. Thanks -- (talk) 09:56, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

July 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing an article on Wikipedia, you will see a small field labeled "Edit summary" shown under the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Stephanie Peacock (politician) does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! seb26 (talk) 13:46, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
