If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. Draft article[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you moved your draft live, however the article was moved to Draft:Hiroshi Nagai because the article was not seen as being ready for the mainspace. Offhand I agree with this, as the article has several issues.

  • The first is that the article has no in-line citations. You have a bibliography, but it's posted at the end and there's no way to tell what citation backs up a particular claim.
  • On this note, the citations aren't really enough to support the artist's notability. One of the sources is Wikipedia, however Wikipedia cannot source itself. I'm also concerned that the source Everything With a Twist would not be seen as a reliable source because there isn't anything on the site about its editorial process or oversight. As such, it would most likely be seen as a self-published source, which are rarely seen as reliable on Wikipedia. Kaput looks more promising because it does have information about its editorial staff, however this by itself wouldn't be able to show notability.
  • Finally, the article is written in a fairly casual style that needs to be made more formal. Avoid words like "passion" and "inspired" since these tend to be seen as promotional buzzwords and can make the article seem more promotional or casual than it's intended to be.

The article is still at the draft space above, so you can still work on improving this. Let me know if you have any questions by responding on my talk page! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:10, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Hiroshi Nagai[edit]

Hello, Dannetolen. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Hiroshi Nagai".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Abelmoschus Esculentus 08:24, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
