Notability of Karl Ehrhardt[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

A tag has been placed on Karl Ehrhardt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Basketball110 the pages I've messed up completely 01:39, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Trying to write JavaScript to bypass GeoHack page[edit]

I have made two attempts (two scripts, one was contributed) to try and rewrite links with map coordinates to bypass GeoHack & go straight to Google Maps. One's on the monobook, the other is in a js page which I import on load to the monobook. Neither have worked.
In addition, a sample script from the JavaScript Tutorial page has also been loaded, but no luck. I've commented out the two scripts that are working. HELP!

Re: Firebug reccomendation[edit]

If you hard refresh a page then it will load the monobook.js. I personally use Firebug to debug JS on Wikipedia, and sometimes also use Greasemonkey to test scripts locally without having to edit the monobook.js. Gary King (talk) 19:01, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

You're probably not looking in the right place then. I just started up Firebug and voila, all the scripts are there—about 50 or so of them. I don't even have to hard refresh, as now that I refresh my memory, Firebug will just draw from the cache if the scripts are cached. There should be a dropdown box in the "Scripts" panel; try clicking on the button that says "Main Page", which should show you all 50 scripts or so. Gary King (talk) 18:37, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure; the breakpoints should work just fine. You're probably not setting them in the right spots, then. Perhaps the line you are trying to add the breakpoint to does not get executed because it is within a conditional statement that is not processed. Gary King (talk) 20:23, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1972–73 New York Islanders season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Earl Ingarfield (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
