Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:42, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to Israel

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your message.

The reason I reverted your edit is that the introduction to an article, called its lede or lead, is supposed to be a summary of the article that includes the most important bits of the article. (Please see WP:LEDE for further information.) The fact that there are Arab MKs is just not that important with respect to Israel. What is important is that Israel defines itself as a "Jewish and democratic state" in its Basic Laws.

If you disagree, I recommend you start a discussion at Talk:Israel to see what other editors think. Wikipedia operates by consensus, and if other editors agree with you that the lede should mention the Arab MKs, I will defer to the consensus. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 03:16, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
