Please stop messing with movie series

xXx has a third movie currently very much in the making, it is now a trilogy [1], Ghotbusters 3 is very much in the making [2], Batman 3 has not started production yet but is confirmed, French Connection is actually a tetralogy if you want to move it you can but don't just delete something, Transformers 3 hasn't been announced yet I'll grant you that and the Daniel Craig bond movies are very much considered a seperate series by many. As for Witch Mountain, it's at this point unclear if the new one is a remake or a sequel, if you delete it at least move it to the tetralogy section. I will once again revert your edit, please don't make it again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Happy Evil Dude (talkcontribs) 11:22, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Re Trilogies

You're telling me that IMDB is not reliable and yet you send me an IMDB link.... Do you honestly believe that because Craig said he doesn't plan to do his third Bond movie right away that there won't be one? Let me remind you the man is signed for four more flicks. xXx 3 is confirmed, a script is being written, director and star are signed and there is a release date and start of filming date, what more do you need? Same for Ghostbusters 3, script is written, actors are confirmed, being signed. Transformers 3 isn't officially official, but the producers, director and screenwriters keep talking about it as though it was, a third movie is planned. Batman 3 WILL happen, it is confirmed, do you honestly think Warner Bros will not continue the franchise after the success it has had? Riddick already is a trilogy (Pitch Black & Dark Fury & CoR), parts 4 & 5 are being written. As for Spider-Man it may just be tv episodes strung together as movies, but other such things are listed so it has a place. Finally of course series with no wikilinks should be listed, so that people can create the damn articles. Happy Evil Dude (talk) 12:13, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

It's not a question of wish, it's fact. I think it's pretty safe to say that when a movie is in production with a script, director, actors, studio briefings, release date, etc, etc, it's pretty safe to assume it's going to be released. Sure anything can happen, but at this point Bond 23 is official, Iron Man 3 is official, Batman 3 is official, etc... just because the films haven't been released does not mean they do not have their place, Wikipedia does list "future films", there is a special template for that even. And if you make changes to a list such as this, please at least move the films to the "appropriate" section instead of simply deleting. Jeez. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Happy Evil Dude (talkcontribs) 12:35, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia does list future films, but WP:NFF also says that films are not created until they begin production. Darrenhusted (talk) 12:38, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
All right just who do you think you are? You remind of why I'd become disgusted with editing Wikipedia a little less then a year ago when I kept adding Indiana Jones under tetralogy and people like you kept deleting it... Who are you to decide above the original filmmakers and film companies just how many movies are comprised in a franchise? You talk of films "not created" until they "begin production", then how do you account for you deleting my adds of Scooby-Doo, Batman 2005 and Riddick in the "trilogies" section? How do you account for deleting Fast & Furious from the tetralogy section? (I've since added it again, don't you dare delete it). How dare you say such films as Big Momma's House 3, Ghostbusters 3, xXx 3 are "wishful thinking" and that there is no official status to them when scripts are written, auditions are underway and filming is gearing up? Vanilla Sky 2 is wishful thinking, Iron Man 2 is not. Please try to understand that it's not up to you to decide what movies exist, it's up to the people who make them. I've always been opposed to murder though... I think page protection is a good idea though. Off to request it now. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 11:26, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

WP:FILMS Questionnaire

As a member of WikiProject Films, you are invited to take part in the project's first questionnaire. It is intended to gauge your participation and views on the project. At the conclusion of the questionnaire, the project's coordinators will use the gathered feedback to find new ways to improve the project and reach out to potential members. The results of the questionnaire will be published in next month's newsletter. If you know of any editors who have edited film articles in the past, please invite them to take part in the questionnaire. Please stop by and take a few minutes to answer the questions so that we can continue to improve our project. Happy editing!
