This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Beware The Eyes Of Mars, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.delrizian.com/mars/media.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Dear Wikipedia,

I am writing to resolve a problem with a new page. My user name is davemann88.

In 2008 i tried to put up a page about the musical "Beware The Eyes Of Mars" but a bot claimed copyright infringement. I wrote the musical that was performed in 2006; I am the only copyright claimant and i am giving you permission to include all materials.

Here is my copyright claim: http://cocatalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?v1=3&ti=1,3&Search%5FArg=beware%20the%20eyes%20of%20mars&Search%5FCode=TALL&CNT=25&PID=yVImo1WRvyVgkfeUIjVKOAHSe0TI&SEQ=20101127162737&SID=1

It is the first and only musical ever written about aliens, making it unique. It deals with alienation and the late 1960's peace movement from an alien's point of view; this also makes it educational as it references historical events circa 1969. There is no article about the musical so I would like to link to this article that only mentions the name of the musical: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel_Galvin#Writer

Also there is a novel that was released in 2009 entitled "Alienated" by David Mann that is based on the musical. A film entitled "Alienated" is also forthcoming, based on both properties.

I own the rights these properties so as an author please authorize me to create pages with photos and advise on how to proceed before i start.

Thank you.

Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for information on how to release copyright to Wikipedia. As for whether or not the musical deserves an article... I doubt that it's the only musical ever written about aliens! Surely someone has written another. That said, even if it is the only one written about aliens, that does not make it notable. Nor does its educational value. To determine if the article is notable, you can read the general notability guidelines. Although we do not have specific guidelines for notability of musicals, I might suggest using the notability guidelines for books, as they are probably pretty similar. If the article is not notable, it will not remain on Wikipedia. As for "authorizing" you to create pages with photos, you don't need to be authorized. The only requirement is that you have an account, which you clearly do. However, if you create a page that is not notable or fits some of the other deletion criteria, it will not remain on Wikipedia. Help on how to start articles can be found at WP:Writing your first article -- it has some very good information. Best of luck! GorillaWarfare talk 22:57, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
