November 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm Tgeairn. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Don Adams, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Tgeairn (talk) 04:37, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Joey Adams. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Tgeairn (talk) 04:37, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi! I am a bit concerned about you putting the following people into Category:American Jews:

Teller[1] (Reverted[2])

Rhea Perlman[3] (Reverted[4])

Sally Jessy Raphael[5] (Reverted[6])

Teller(again)[7] (Reverted[8])

Sally Jessy Raphael(again)[9] (Reverted[10])

Rhea Perlman(again)[11] (Reverted[12])

Don Adams[13] (Reverted[14])

Joey Adams[15] (Reverted[16])

Richard Benjamin[17] (Reverted[18])

These additions are not supported by reliable sources. Your citation[19] of adherents.com[20] does not meet Wikipedia's standards for being a reliable source, because in most cases adherents.com gets its information from Wikipedia. See WP:CIRCULAR. As you can see by looking at the above links, your edits have been reverted on sight by a number of different editors.

Another problem is your edit summary "Perlman is a Jewish name"[21]. As was pointed out when your edit was reverted,[22], Putting someone in a category just because they have a Jewish-sounding name is original research.

I am also troubled by your removal of a citation and replacing it with a citation needed tag[23][24] at the article for the Naxi propaganda film Der Sieg des Glaubens and your interest in Arthur Schopenhauer[25] and Adolf Hitler.[26] both of whom are proponents of Eugenics.

Is your interest in Nazism related to your categorizing various public figures as Jews? Whether it is or not, I am going to have to ask you to read WP:V and to stop adding unsourced material to Wikipedia. --Guy Macon (talk) 08:13, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Guy Macon, on Der Sieg des Glaubens the source I removed showed a page not found so I removed it. Derpian (talk) 17:28, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
I understand. That's a common mistake, but on Wikipedia we don't delete links to pages that are not found. See Wikipedia:Dead link#Keeping dead links.
I am still curious about your answer to the rest of my questions. You see, there are two kinds of editor who get reverted over an over. The first kind is someone who is simply unfamiliar with Wikipedia, and we really want to help that editor. See Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers. The second kind is someone who thinks the rules don't apply to him. See Wikipedia:Disruptive editing. I am hoping that you are the first kind of editor and that we can discuss why it is that all of your edits are quickly undone by other editors. Would you be interested in learning how to make constructive edits? Please note that I don't care at all whether you hold unpopular opinions. I only care whether you are willing to follow the Wikipedia policy at Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. --Guy Macon (talk) 18:56, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Guy Macon, I added the reference back to Der Sieg des Glaubens. I will not edit any pages without verifying sources first. Thanks. Derpian (talk) 01:50, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

August 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Bollyjeff. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. BollyJeff | talk 02:33, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Block[edit]

I have blocked your account for your recent edits of vandalism. Edit such as these: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 (BLP violations only viewable to admins now) are not appropriate behavior. Mike VTalk 03:19, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

I did it for the lulz. Derpian (talk) 03:42, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Request reason:

Before I say anything else, I'd like to first say the vandalism I created was disruptive. I wish to be unblocked because I have big future plans that will benefit the readers of Wikipedia. That is all I can say for now as I prefer to keep negative matters brief. Thank you.

Decline reason:

Not impressed. --jpgordon::==( o ) 05:27, 30 August 2014 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first and then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired.
