Kirby 2d shooter

[edit]

Kirby's Dream Land has a 2D shooter style boss battle? You mean Kaboola? Ok I respect that but you know, other Kirby games lack it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.144.160.246 (talkcontribs)

Mario Image

[edit]

I really don't care, but I'm just responding to your question in the history(of SSBB). The reason that I feel that Mario needs his own image, is because this is the first time his original appearance has been altered. In this game, he is redesigned wearing jeans, and has a dirtier appearance.

Regarding IP edit on Kirby series bosses

[edit]

While the edit was certainly revertable, the IP's edit was not made in bad faith; and while it's not against policy to call his edits nonsense, it's simpler and easier to just say "Rv". Calling his edits nonsense might make him upset and then cause him to make bad faith edits, but simply reverting it, preferably with an explanation could serve to improve his editing abilities on Wikipedia now that he knows better. - A Link to the Past (talk) 01:14, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apology

[edit]

I sincerely apologize for merging so many articles into a list and altogether attempting to rid Wikipedia of some Kirby lists without discussing (even though I still feel that those articles should remain merged), and also for fighting disagreements with the merging by reverting. - A Link to the Past (talk) 21:07, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

history of Mario

[edit]

hello DisasterKirby, i can assure you that it IS 26 years Mario has been nintendo's Mascot! why did you revert it? Touth 00:18, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

well i think its STILL the same thing.DisasterKirby i want you to count how many years Mario has been nintendo's main mascot so far for me please. he debuted in 1981 and i KNOW its 26 years!Touth 00:49, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DisasterKirby,, it dose not say july 1981, it say's as of the beginning of 1981 which i think must mean january 1981.Touth 01:30, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DisasterKirby, why are you reverting my edits? you show know that i am not trying to vandalise. for a start, Mario's overalls are blue not purple. you can tell by looking at the 2nd image-first early mario! Touth 04:01, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Three Revert Rule

[edit]

Be advised of WP:3RR. You've reverted Super Smash Bros. Brawl 3 times in less than a half hour. This is in violation of WP:3RR. 3RR is supposed to prevent someone from making reverts (unless blatant vandalism) 3 times in 24 hours. Be aware of this. --myselfalso 21:06, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That IP in the SSBB article...already reverted his edits... You you didn't have to do it for him... Angry Sun 07:28, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Kirbysqsq.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kirbysqsq.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:25, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Dededesqsq.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Dededesqsq.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 11:34, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Donkeykongbrawl.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Ssbbdonkeykong.jpg. The copy called Image:Ssbbdonkeykong.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 06:31, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Let us talk on MSN please? Add lyndenidcool@yahoo.co.uk i'd like to have a large argument with lots of bad language and such in it without upsetting others, or perhaps just a civil talk...This is regarding Giga Bowser, since i'm not going to give up arguing i'd like to try and get this sorted out fast using an IM.--TailsClock 02:06, 21 July 2007 (UTC) You're the one that is against me the most, that is why i want to show you that you are wrong and get your support so that the aticle can be fixed. But i doubt you'd change your mind. and so long as you continue to keep the article from being factual i shall see you as a vandal.--TailsClock 04:57, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ike in Brawl

[edit]

Pardon me, but I think Ike is just as deserving as Meta Knight of being mentioned in the main Brawl article, since after all, Fire Emblem was already an established series in Melee. What do you have against mentioning him? Meta Knight isn't even on the "Newcomers" section on the Smash Dojo site yet... Nintenboy01 17:41, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I agree, we shouldn't mention ALL the new characters in there, but I just think it might be more "balanced" if we mention both Ike and Meta Knight in the same sentence. After all, Ike's arrival confirms that the Fire Emblem series is still represented in the game (It's probably also likely that Marth and/or Roy won't be coming back, but that's just my opinion). Nintenboy01 17:50, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Who put that DO NOT CHANGE BIT there anyhoo? They must not grasp the concept of Wikipedia, where all people editing in good faith should be treated as equals. Maybe I oughta just place this in the article's talk page? Nintenboy01 17:57, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be annoyed too if countless dudes kept adding messy, trivial stuff to the article. But thanks for un-reverting my edit. Cheers, Nintenboy01 18:15, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

just what on earth is so wrong with my edit! i don't find nothing wrong with it at all. all i do is expand images on this site but i do NOT expand them too big 82.33.160.8 20:20, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean that the text may wrap around the huge images? they are not THAT huge and i am sure that 230px or 250px are not that bad. 300px is bad. 82.33.160.8 20:39, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kirby

[edit]

Hey, are you doing the Featured article candidacy? I was wondering who is, because I want to start moving on some of the featured article requests. Judgesurreal777 03:09, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I mean like possibly trimming down the "other" section of the article, since most of it is fan cruft and what is sourced needs to go in the other sections? I would like to support the articles candidacy. :) Judgesurreal777 03:56, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I could envision Shadow Kirby being a paragraph of the "characteristics" describing him. If he is an alter ego, then definitely the right place for it, including the picture if you like. If he is a nemesis....actually, if he was just kirby's enemy it would probably go in characteristics too :) So he would get a mention. Judgesurreal777 04:31, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looks better, but I think I have some important ideas.... the characteristics section should be trimmed down to four paragraphs, with the subsections trimmed to about two succinct sentences instead of several paragraphs each. Also, this is key, SITE THE ACTUAL GAME MANUAL AND GAME TEXT, not the site you got it from. As they are just scans of the game anyway, it is the game manual you are citing, to site that not the fan site. Do that, and we can try to replace the few times that the fan site are still used, do the last of the FAC fixes, and we should be ready to go again. Thanks for the help in regards to the Yoshi article

[edit]

The user Coconutfred73 in the past changed the image of characters who appeared in Brawl with their depiction from Brawl, not their main series image.

In his own talk page, you can see we had this same problem over Yoshi's image. He has not violated the 3revert rule but I fear this will be an edit war that will spam days due to his lack of insight.--ChibiMrBubbles 01:00, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Prime 3's Ending

[edit]

Hey, thanks for taking the time to write about the final battle on my talk page. So I guess the Aurora unit you fight isn't actually Mother Brain per se after all... Oh well, I just hope that's truly the end of Dark Samus. Let's hope that the Metroid Dread easter egg comes true as well! Nintenboy01 22:09, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By any chance, did you get a 100% completion rating? Like the first two games you get an extended ending if you did. I hope they don't show Dark Samus reforming again... Nintenboy01 22:22, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I double-checked GameFaqs and it seems you need just 75% to view the extended ending. And nope, the earlier games were evil and didn't retain any of your scan data when you started a new file. Nintenboy01 22:43, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

VIZ uses Japanese order for Gintama

VIZ uses the Japanese order for Gintama, family name then given name. WhisperToMe 00:41, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know VIZ made a mistake with Hasegawa's naming order, as FNGN is the norm in the translated manga. WhisperToMe 03:47, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orca in Kirby?

[edit]

Sadly I've never been able to play thru Kirby's Dreamland 3, but I saw the ending on VGmuseum and was wondering if you knew who that Killer whale shown was (with a fox on top of him). I've never seen him in any other Kirby games and the articles here don't mention him. Is he just some random character? Heres a link: http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/snes/a/kirby3.htm Nintenboy01 18:20, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, if it's a round, chubby Orca with narrow eyes then that must be him/her. If only Wiki could have images for all characters... But one thing I do like about the Kirby series is that even the bosses are ultra-cute! Nintenboy01 18:46, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Kirbylogo.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kirbylogo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
