Hello

Hello, guys --Hgh1993 (talk) 16:05, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Beyond the seminar?

[edit]

We may not have much time for editing WP today, but maybe we can use this page to continue Digital Classicist themed editing over the summer? Gabrielbodard (talk) 16:06, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Great idea, @Gabrielbodard:! --Hgh1993 (talk) 16:14, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Gabrielbodard:, please let me know if you have any ideas, I'll be delighted to participate, even remotely. Domusaurea (talk) 20:33, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Domusaurea: @Hgh1993: If someone had the time and motivation to convene a group to (a) plan and then (b) start a DigiClass themed WP sprint, I would suggest using the DC Jiscmail list to see who else might be interested. We already have a DCWiki editing sprint on the first Tuesday of the month (next: Aug 6th) so let's try not to clash with that, but we can also promote it there... Gabrielbodard (talk) 07:53, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Gabrielbodard, Domusaurea, and Hgh1993: Sounds like a good idea to me. Would people be working together remotely or will they be meeting in person? Richard Nevell (talk) 21:18, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I would expect all remotely. Gabrielbodard (talk) 07:16, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Gabrielbodard and Domusaurea: Remote is probably sensible - it might be nice to have a way for people to talk to each other about what they're doing.

Asking for interest on the Jisc list is a sensible step. We should consider what we want to aim for as a group. It would be worth thinking about how we articulate our aim and what we'll need to do to empower people to edit. Richard Nevell (talk) 15:40, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
