Elephant[edit]

Please, do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, especially nonsense that everyone who watched the Colbert Report in the last week has already added at least once. It's considered vandalism. -Harmil 19:55, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This week Rosetta Stone was selected to be improved to featured article status.
Hope you can help.

Modesty[edit]

There isn't an actual article "Spouse", just a disambigulation page that refers to husband or wife. Vgranucci 13:18, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Revision of edits[edit]

Hello Doom777,

I've noticed that some of your recent edits have been reverted. When it comes to Israeli-Palestinian related articles, every word has to be chosen carefully with an emphasis on building a consensus. A great example is "West Bank" vs "Samaria". Samaria may be used in articles which relate to the history of the land, but for anything in the 20th century onwards, West Bank is generally used. Another example is "Arab" vs "Palestinian". The people displaced since the creation of the modern state of Israel are generally referred to as Palestinians on Wikipedia.

I just wanted to give you this advice which has been hard won over hours spent on talk pages. I hope you continue to contribute to wikipedia, and if you have any questions, please check with the wikipedia policies and guidelines, or of course, do not hesitate to task.

Thanks and regards,

Fayyad: cut and paste page move[edit]

Hello, Doom777. It appears that you copied and pasted Fayyad to Fayyad (settlement). Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself using the move link at the top of the page, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. June 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page Billy Mays has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
