User talk:Double Plus Ungood
Hello, this is my talk page. You can leave me a message here. This place is not as interesting as my
user page, but I can make it so. Why aren’t koalas actual bears?
They don’t meet the koalafications.

Errors on your User page
[edit]Hi Double Plus Ungood. Like Jonesey95, I came to your user page because it is listed as one of the few pages having Bogus file options. Like Jonesey95 and others, I routinely edit articles, talk pages, and user pages to quietly and harmlessly fix lint errors. Very few users complain and many users thank me. I believe Jonesey95's fixes were all correct and did not affect the display. I encourage you to accept Jonesey95's version. Cheers! —Anomalocaris (talk) 06:39, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- Respectfully, they were a mess (you may revisit them to see).
- I would kindly ask to let me manage my own userpage, over. Double Plus Ungood (talk) 05:40, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi again Double Plus Ungood. You're right, Jonesey95's fix also changed the display. However, it looks to me like Zinnober9 was successful in fixing the errors without changing the display. Yes, you can manage your own user page, but it's probably a good idea not to leave Bogus file options errors on it, because there are a lot of editors who will come along and try to fix it. It is because of this hard-working crew that the thousands of pages with bogus file options, including many user pages, have all been fixed ... except for the one user page User:Double Plus Ungood. So, why not accept Zinnober9's version? Cheers! —Anomalocaris (talk) 08:05, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- I understand if you were not wishing for the resize of the larger image in my prior edit. I had incorrectly thought your intent was to have them the same size with how you have grouped them, and had seen that Minor Ribbon was filling the page. Apologies for the incorrect assumption.
- However, I do ask that the parameter
|align
be removed, as is not a recognized parameter of WP:EIS image syntax, and is the only remaining case of image syntax errors currently on Wikipedia. In example cases, the word "align" is displayed, but it has no meaning in live cases, and is an understood explanation word for parameters like|right
,|center
, or|left
as you currently have existing here, so the image's page alignment is already fulfilled by|left
. - You do have full rights to manage your page, but policies of WP:UOWN and WP:LINT do permit other users to address issues with limited, noninvasive corrections when needed.
|align
is the only Lint causing syntax error on your userpage, so if that phrase is removed, your page will be error free and unlikely to be bothered again by others seeing that error and hoping to fix it. - If you have any questions about this issue, or anything else about your page, feel free to ask Anomalocaris, Jonesey95, or I. We're well knowledgeable about a good many number of things and only wish to be helpful. I hope you have a great weekend! Zinnober9 (talk) 18:23, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
Voting for coordinators is now open!
[edit]Nominations for the upcoming project coordinator election have opened. A team of up to ten coordinators will be elected for the next coordination year. The project coordinators are the designated points of contact for issues concerning the project, and are responsible for maintaining our internal structure and processes. They do not, however, have any authority over article content or editor conduct, or any other special powers. More information on being a coordinator is available here. If you are interested in running, please sign up here by 23:59 UTC on 14 September! Voting will commence on 15 September. If you have any questions, you can contact any member of the current coord team. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:40, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
