I assume from your username that you are the Douglas Wood about whom you were writing - first, it's a bad idea to write about yourself - please see our policies on conflict of interest and autobiography. Second, if an article about another Douglas Wood to be written, it would a separate article with a different title. See John Smith for examples on different methods of doing this. But once again, I strongly discourage you from writing about yourself. If you think an article is warranted under the notability criteria, please request an article and provide sources at WP:RA rather than writing the article yourself, thanks. AfD nomination of Ayelet weinerman[edit]

I've nominated Ayelet weinerman, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Ayelet weinerman satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ayelet weinerman and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Ayelet weinerman during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. RJASE1 Talk 19:54, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Second warning[edit]

Please stop attempting to hijack the Douglas Wood article in order to write about yourself. RJASE1 Talk 20:08, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

June 2007[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Little Einsteins, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 20:13, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The conflict of interest policy[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

Accounts used solely for blatant self-promotion may be blocked indefinitely without further warning.

For more details, please read the Conflict of Interest guideline. Thank you. RJASE1 Talk 20:16, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To add to this, self-promotion (or promotional activity of any kind) doesn't go over well on Wikipedia. If you'd like to add encyclopedic content to the article, take a look at the criteria for notability and inclusion, as well as the aforementioned guidelines on promotional and autobiographical material. If you keep trying to hijack the Douglas Wood article, though, you may be blocked from editing. MastCell Talk 20:30, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
