Bowery Capital page[edit]

Hi Dr. Kadzi - I did contest the speedy deletion and included an explanation for why I think the article isn't promotional. However, since I am a relatively new Wikipedia writer, I am definitely willing to edit/rewrite the article to make it better and more encyclopedia-like. Do you have any specific suggestions or advice for how I could do that?

Thank you, Arvin

Hi Dr. Kadzi - that's a great suggestion! I'll go change that phrasing as well as some of the other phrasing that might sounds biased or promotional. And with regard to that specific suggestion, I just realized that there's a space in the info box for fund size, so I can actually put that information there (rather than in the body of the article).

Thanks again for your help, Arvin

Thanks for reviewing Mais Gomar, Dr. Kadzi.

Unfortunately MrX has just gone over this page again and unreviewed it. Their note is:

We do not delete AfCs because they do not indicate notability. We just decline them. I have therefore reverted your review and speedy nomination. of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Hussein Ali Mahfouz and will review it myself.

Ditto with the AfC for Barron’s 400 Index. It probably is notable, and I will probably accept it with minor revisions.

please stop[edit]

As an administrator here reviewing articles for deletion, I need to advise you that you do not yet have sufficient experience to reviews articles for creation. Please stop doing so. The first step will be to write one or more acceptable articles yourself, ort at least make multiple edits to existing articles before you judge those of other people. After that, read carefully the page of instructions for AfC reviewing. ANd before you nominate further articles for deletion by any method, read our deletion criteria at WP:Deletion policy & at WP:CSD. We want your help, but doing half of them wrong is not helping. and discourages new editors. DGG ( talk ) 02:01, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (Insert-signature.png or Button sig.png) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:27, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can ask another question on your talk page, contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse.

I'm relatively new to wikipedia and I've been helping out with the new pages feed over the past couple of days, but what other ways are there to help?

Since you seem to be interested in patrolling pages, random page patrolling might be easier to start out with. You click on random page, and then copyedit, style edit, etc. the page you land on. When you are done, just push random article again. I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 17:45, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Marking articles for deletion[edit]

I see that DGG has already left a message regarding a similar issue. Please look at the timeline of the article you nominated for deletion here. A new user made an edit, creating an article. Obviously this is a new editor making an article for the first time, they won't know what they are doing. One minute later you mark it for deletion.

I moved the article in question, as you can see, but if you would like to review new articles to see if they meet any CSD criteria, please consider working through the backlog, rather than brand new articles.

Alternatively, you could help these new users and give them information they might need to make their edits as productive as possible - and make these newcomers feel welcome! PanydThe muffin is not subtle 19:57, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Also, and I know this is a bit contentious so please forgive me, but the article's subject was none of the following: a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organized event - which are the subject which fall under A7 PanydThe muffin is not subtle 19:59, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

A friendly tip[edit]

With guys like this, who seems to be being silly in a friendly way, rather than silly in a vulgar or mean-spirited way, I try and use the inappropriate humour warning. It's nice than labelling what they're doing as pure vandalism. A second strike calls for different interaction obviously. But being nice first leaves a better impression. Nik Kershaw - Dancing Girls[edit]

Hi Dr. Kadzi,

Thanks for your reviews of my article on Nik Kershaw's Dancing Girls. However, I feel I have to take issue with your latest review. The phrase "But again the idea was exaggerated" is part of the original quote, and is marked up as such. I don't see the problem with it. Can you explain please. Metabelis (talk) 22:20, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Aha. Ok - updated and resubmitted. Cheers Metabelis (talk) 22:51, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for the warm welcome Dr. Kadzi! Still learning Wikipedia, i think your tips would be of great help.

Hi. This was an intended redirect with a typo that caused it to be tagged as a test page. I corrected the typo, but the template was preventing it from working, so I removed the delete template as well. μηδείς (talk) 20:32, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Parasakthi review[edit]

I see u had started the GA review for Parasakthi 1952, thanks. But I see no comments on the review page, yet the article seems to have passed the review. Does that mean the article has passed with no flaws, or did you forget to list ur feedback? Kailash29792 (talk) 13:11, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

Please stop reviewing articles in any forum, including AFC, CSD, and GAN. It is clear that you are not experienced enough to properly review articles, with only 548 edits and a clear lack of understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines. If you continue to conduct these poor reviews, I will bring discussion of this to an appropriate forum, and you may be blocked. --Rschen7754 21:23, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

Saw your note about GA recruiting. I can take you on after my current one is done. Until then, it's better that you hold off on reviewing per what has already been noted. Wizardman 01:11, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion requests for Politician Stubs[edit]

Threw It on the Ground[edit]

Representations have been made to me about Threw It on the Ground. I agree that the total lack of independent references makes it a candidate for deletion. Also I accept that it is inappropriate to use AfD as a tool to force people to add references but that is probably what you will have to do. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:31, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

An article is not "patent nonsense" solely by virtue of being written in a foreign language; still, I have speedily deleted it under the criteria WP:CSD#A7 (lack of assertion of notability) and WP:CSD#G11 (self-promotion). - Mike Rosoft (talk) 17:19, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of non-English pages[edit]

I noticed you tagged an article for speedy deletion with reason "it's not written in English." Articles being written in a language other than English are specifically excluded from the criteria for speedy deletion. Instead, they should be tagged with {{not English}} and listed at WP:PNT. If they are tagged and listed for 2 weeks, they can then be deleted for that reason. Jackmcbarn (talk) 21:36, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

I agree with Jackmcbarn. Kadzi, you are not taking actions seriously. The only thing you know to do is deletion. Please be away from these kinds of edits. As a consequence, you may be blocked from editing. — ITeachThem (talk) 14:38, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Dre D[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dre D requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Ben0kto (talk) 15:19, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

  • Please see sources and more will be added. Thanks Ben0kto (talk) 15:21, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Executioner (fly swatter)[edit]

Hello Dr. Kadzi. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "The Executioner (fly swatter)".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Executioner (fly swatter)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 15:41, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Sorry, but you can't use A7 on buildings. It's for people, groups of people, named animals, web content and organised events. Anything else that's not significant has to be PROD or AfD. I've prodded this one. Peridon (talk) 16:23, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

Pending changes review[edit]

Please don't approve pending changes that add or change biographical material in WP:BLPs without including a reliable source; many times the reason the articles are protected in the first place is to prevent exactly those type of edits. As the edit you approved here added unsourced personal info I've partially reverted it. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:39, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

  • This edit also should not have been accepted. It's poorly worded, unclear, and contrary to the WP:MOS. A quick review of the history of the article also shows that this same edit has been reverted several times by other editors. Please read through Wikipedia:Reviewing prior to reviewing any additional edits.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:53, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
  • And this edit should most definitely not have been approved, an edit on a BLP adding an unsourced claim about the subject of the article, a British-Indian actress, being a muslim (made by an IP-hopper who is repeatedly adding such claims on multiple BLPs). If I see you doing something similar again I will request immediate removal of your reviewer rights. Thomas.W talk 12:09, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
