Proper way to insert images in infoboxes
[edit]Hello @Dragontologist. I am @Archer1234. I noticed your recent edit to Darren Watts where you added an image to the infobox. I want to let you know that the way you added the image was not done according to Wikipedia's Manual of Style (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE).
- When adding an image to an infobox, thumbnails should NOT be used. Simply supplying the file name will work. For example, to use File:Image PlaceHolder.png, you can simply use
|image=Image PlaceHolder.png
. Captions should be specified with the|caption=
parameter. Every infobox is different and the documentation for the infobox in question should be consulted for the proper parameters to match the image and caption.
- To fix
Do not use the full image syntax:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead, just supply the name of the image. So, in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
and optionally:
|caption=Some image caption
.
Hopefully you will find this information useful for your future editing. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. — Archer1234 (talk) 18:46, 3 January 2023 (UTC)

AfC notification: Draft:R&R Games has a new comment
[edit]Hi Dragontologist, I saw your note at the AfC Helpdesk (assuming the IP is you) so added that Tampa Tribune source you mentioned (via Newspapers.com, footnote 2). To get to the second page, click on linked page number 8 in the citation. I also found a Desert News article detailing their 2015 game (footnote 3). Note sources do not need to be online but you do need to be able to provide adequate bibliographic detail so someone can find it (author, publication, title, date, page number, etc.). I also pinged one of Wikipedia's game experts to the draft who knows where to find pre-internet/old internet sources. You might also try Google Books. S0091 (talk) 18:15, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
