Thank you for improving article quality in May! - Today: Felicity Lott. If you have little time, just give me a click ;) - If you have more, see her story. If you have more, listen to her singing Friendly Vision. If you have more, listen until she sings the word "peace" (Frieden), floating up high, serenely. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:51, 20 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Replacing Firefly

[edit]

Hello DreamRimmer, I had asked at WT:Requests for undeletion § Limitation of Firefly bot if DreamRimmer bot III can take up FireflyBot's operation. What do you think? Jay 💬 05:00, 28 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like FireflyBot is still working, but if needed, I can take over the task. I already have an approved backup bot task for this. Not sure blocking the bot would be the best option, since it handles DRN task as well. – DreamRimmer 13:21, 28 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Right, we cannot stop a FireflyBot task that DreamRimmer bot is not handling. Is it possible for DreamRimmer bot to do the subsequent draft deletion warnings that FireflyBot doesn't do? This way their responsibilities won't conflict. Jay 💬 17:42, 28 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Can you point to any cases where FireflyBot failed to notify a draft creator? As far as I am aware, it already notifies all eligible users about their drafts. – DreamRimmer 12:26, 29 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
What I had pointed out in the above discussion was one part of Liz's discussion which is: My one issue with FireflyBot is that it only does the 5 month notification once for drafts and I wish it would do so every time the inactivity level hits 5 months but let's leave that matter for another discussion. I had paraphrased it as ..not just the first time, but for every subsequent deletion. A lot of requests I see on RfU are for drafts that had already received the first notification. NPP School

[edit]

Hello, I hope you're doing well. I noticed that you're listed as a trainer for the New Page Patrol School. Are you currently taking any students? Your timezone matches mine, which would work well. I previously had NPP rights, but they were revoked due to inactivity. I’d like to relearn and revise the processes properly before reapplying. Please let me know if you're available to take on students. Thank you! - Tatupiplu’✦ talk 10:46, 31 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

NPP Questions

[edit]

Hi DreamRimmer, I became an NPP today. I have three questions:

  1. How can I send messages to users when I'm reviewing their pages (All I know right now is "Ways to improve ..." discussion)?
  2. How can I disable the feature were pages I review are automatically added to my watchlist?
  3. Can I see all the pages I've reviewed?

Thank you. Fortek67 (talk) 20:50, 4 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) @Fortek67

Hi, and congratulations on becoming an NPP reviewer!

1. To leave a message for a page creator, you can use the "Send message to Page Creator" option on the Mark as review section on the "Page Curation" Tool, or visit the user's talk page directly and leave a note there.

2. You can disable automatic watchlisting by going to your User Preferences > Watchlist > Advanced, and then disable "Add pages I review to my watchlist".

3. Yes. Your review log can be visible through your contributions and patrol logs, Usually the "Page Curation Log", and The "Patrol Log".

If you need any other assistance feel free to ask on my Talkpage or the Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers. Destiny Okhiria (alt) (talk) 12:07, 9 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Fortek67 (talk) 14:46, 9 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
