Fixing Chak De! India[edit]

Hi Dwai! Hope all is going well with you. I just cleaned up Chak De! India which hasn't had a formal review since the GAN in 2009. I've put in a request for a copy edit

I'm hoping to slowly over time build it to an FAC. I'm actually pretty busy at the moment - but when I saw the state the article was in, I just had a marathon clean up. It should take them about a month or two to get to the article so there is time to fix areas.

I fully deleted one section because every single link is out of date - which is Box Office. I know that film articles have to have a "box office" section to get through GAN and FAC's - I'm wondering if you would have time to help me with this section. I found one current link

And have pasted the text as it was before I removed it below. I'm actually going offline for a few days but I'll check in on the Weekend or next week. If you don't have the time to get through cleaning up this section - do you know anyone who will? And if you have other feedback that would be great - though no obligation to work on the article. As I said I am going to be coming and going anyway. Here is the old info:

(from infobox) | budget = 240 million (US$3.6 million)[1] | gross = 1.05 billion (US$16 million)[2]

Box office[edit]

Upon release, the film recorded a below average opening in India. This lower-than-expected occupancy level was an outcome of its limited release in various territories including West Bengal.[3] However, due to the strong critical response the film received, collections increased with the final outcome of over 80% occupancy for the weekend. Subsequently, Chak De! India was granted tax exemptions by the state of Bihar (which reduced tickets prices).[4] The film's box office collections increased and it eventually grossed 220 million (US$3.3 million) in its first week.[5] By the end of its theatrical run, Chak De! India became the third highest grossing film of 2007 in India, with revenues of 676.9 million (US$10 million) domestically.[6] Box Office India declared it a "Blockbuster."[6]

Chak De! India opened at number 20 in the US, number 11 in the UK, and number 12 in Australia.[7] It earned a total of 35 million (US$530,000) in the United Kingdom, 45 million (US$680,000) in North America, and 35 million (US$530,000) from the remaining overseas proceeds.[8]

I just found another reference which is currently in the SRK article -- not entirely certain about the source but will share here:

Chak De's stats are listed at #23

Just FYI - I've brought it back to GA status (and had it copyedited) - at some point over this year, I'd like to bring the article to FAC. I see you are quite busy these days but if you ever have the time to work on it, let me know. I think it is an article worthy of FAC. Hope all is well. -Classicfilms (talk) 07:55, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

There's a afd going on here. It needs to close, but consensus is not certain. More participation is needed. Ibrahim Husain Meraj (talk) 21:54, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

As someone who encouraged me to take this article to FAC, would you be interested in reviewing the article which is currently at FAC now? Vensatry (ping) 10:42, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
