Speedy deletion nomination of Providology[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Providology requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 21:20, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

February 2014[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this recent edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from Providology, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 21:29, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Providology. Please make your case on the page's talk page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 21:29, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Providology. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 21:30, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Providology. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 21:31, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Mark Arsten (talk) 21:59, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

I have declined the speedy-deletion nomination, though that does not excuse your edit-warring to remove the template despite warnings. Instead, I have proposed the article for deletion, formal notice below. Beside the links in the notice, you should read WP:Verifiability and WP:No original research. Proposed deletion of Providology[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Providology has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There are not enough references here, nor have I found any, to satisfy WP:Notability or WP:NAD#Neologisms.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
