THE ADVENTURE GAMES MAGAZINE
Issue #1, February 27, 2012
Let's Go!

The future of the Adventure games WikiProject wasn't looking bright for the last couple of months... until now. Since the Adventure games WikiProject moved to a Video game taskforce, quite a few people added themselves to the members list, and there was quite a lot of activity. So, we decided to make a monthly Adventure games magazine! In this first issue we will give You an update on the status of our taskforce, a poll, and a Exclusive article on our beloved Monkey Island!

Help?[edit]

Hi, Electroguv! I see You're a experienced video game article editor, so I decided to contact You. I have recently been working on Revolution Software/Broken Sword-related articles, and fave promoted 4 to GA. Since I suck badly...really badly at writing plots I have written this overly detailed, 4 pages-long plot section for In Cold Blood. So, could you please cut it the obviously un-needed info and a give it a quick copy-edit? All the very Best, --Khanassassin 13:18, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

Oh, too bad. I believe you have played BS1, and I really want to nominate it for FAC again - but it needs copy-editing. Could you please give it a quick look? :) All the Best, --Khanassassin 15:58, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. I'm just a big fan of Revolution/Broken Sword (best adventure IMO)/adventure games, and the articles were all start/stub when I started editing. I believe great games deserve high quality articles (when I'm finished with Revolution/mainly Broken Sword articles, I'll probably work on The Curse of Monkey Island, so I might contact you for that, if you don't mind). Best wishes, --Khanassassin 16:03, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, understand. The only bad thing is that I asked Sabre in the past to help me out, and (s)he couldn't, because (s)he never played the game before. Best, --Khanassassin 19:40, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

A barnstar for you![edit]

For cleaning up all those refs and formatting issues on video game articles as of late. Kudos! Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 18:13, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Edge[edit]

Just to say, I haven't forgotten you. I have some Uni work that is having to take precedence this week. Should be able to get the MI stuff to you soon. - X201 (talk) 13:21, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Re: Curse[edit]

I'll see what I can dig up. Cheers, Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 21:06, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

Unfortunately my usual avenue has been cut off for the time being :| Going to have to restore my access, so bear with me. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 03:14, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
Access is still cut off right now. I'm trying to work with the University to get things restored but the gears of education move slowly... Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 22:50, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

You know about Jimmy...[edit]

Hi there, Electroguv. I'm sure you know of out fellow user, JimmyBlackwing. I've noticed that Jimmy has been really "dead" on the Wiki; His last edit was made on March 14! I was just wondering if you know why this is so, as you've collaborated him quite a bit... He was quite active, and just stopped... Best, --Khanassassin 17:36, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Re:Mass Effect[edit]

Sorry for the hugely long delay in replying! Been awfully busy (still am really). The way I dealt with those articles, I used "production" essentially as a timeline of basic development information: its announcement, who's working on it, what staff it uses, convention appearances, platform details and the evolution of this up to release. The "Design" section I use to discuss specifics about the game: art style, gameplay design, cinematic tailoring, writing, all the stuff that ultimately goes into the in-game experience. Design is usually cribbed from interviews, and the ability to write that section ultimately depends on how much the developers have actually talked about it. Though with a game such as Mass Effect, that shouldn't be a problem. Production details can often be referenced to generic news posts about the game from news sites such as IGN during development. I hope that helps! -- Sabre (talk) 18:45, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 19[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Day of the Tentacle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mexican (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re: Voyager[edit]

That preview is the reason I decided to create an article. Before I found that, there just wasn't enough information about the game. Thanks, though. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 19:11, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
