[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (EphesusFoundation) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is Ephesus Foundation. Thank you. Gurt Posh (talk) 10:36, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; you are welcome to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 11:17, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Salvio, It's the first time I write for Wikipedia and I am very sorry to have made a mistake. I kindly want to ask for unblocking my article about the Ephesus Foundation. It was nonsense to choose this username, now I know it better. Please be sure that the article is no promotion and is only to provide information about this non-profit organisation for people being interested in Turkey’s cultural heritage. As recommended I have already created a new account to avoid further conflicts. Is it possible to put the text online using this new account and delete the “EphesusFoundation” account? If it is not, please tell me what I can do. Thank you very much for your help! EphesusFoundation (talk) 09:17, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Another mistake, although I understand that it was in error. It would have been better to change your username here rather than create a new account. Could you indicate the new name you are using? It may then be possible to move your article, probably to your new talkspace.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:14, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

OK. The new username is kleopatra100. What do I have to do now? EphesusFoundation (talk) 08:09, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Could you please tell me what I have to do next? Is it possible to publish my article about the Ephesus Foundation using my new account? Thanks for help! EphesusFoundation (talk) 06:06, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

This is not a request for unblock. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:10, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's possible, but we heavily discourage it because it is extremely difficult for someone to write about his employer and comply with WP:Neutral point of view, which isn't negotiable. Read over WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. —Jeremy v^_^v Components:V S M 06:14, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Since you were led to believe that the article could be userfied for you if you told us your new username, I have (somewhat reluctantly) userfied it at User:Kleopatra100/Ephesus Foundation. However, it seems only fair to make it clear to you that this is a temporary move to give you a chance to improve it. If it is not made into a suitable article reasonably soon, it will be deleted again. I should also like to emphasise the point made above by Jéské Couriano. You clearly have a conflict of interest, and probably should not be writing on this subject. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:18, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your help. I am happy that there is solution now. Please, let me make clear that I am no employe of the Ephesus Foundation, and I hope I will be able to improve the article. EphesusFoundation (talk) 07:17, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You already have a working account. This one will not be unblocked. --jpgordon::==( o ) 14:12, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since you have, as you said, created a new account as User:Kleopatra100, I can't see any reason why this old account should be unblocked. The user name is unacceptable under the user name policy, so the only reason to unblock would be in order to allow a username change, but that is not necessary as you already have the other account.
