Disambiguation link notification for April 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. win loss updates[edit]

Please wait until the conclusion of the games before updating coaches win loss records. You already have a win listed on Tony Sanchez page when the game is still in the third quarter. Even if its a blowout wait until the game is final. Bsuorangecrush (talk) 04:31, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Coaching standings[edit]

Please refrain from putting standings on coaches record tables until the end of the season. The standings can change weekly so only final standings should be listed. Thank you.Bsuorangecrush (talk) 07:38, 9 November 2017 (UTC)

Dude I'm updating them as they are now. You notice I didn't give anybody a division championship. I'm going to edit them as I do. I've been doing this like that for years...

You haven't been updating them with standings all season. Why start now? There is a ton of movement that can happen between now and the end of the season. Only their final standing on the season should be listed. Bsuorangecrush (talk) 07:49, 9 November 2017 (UTC)

I'm aware there will be a ton of movement. But hey, not important in the grand scheme of things, just trying to make them as accurate as possible!

Those tables have always only listed their final standing. I've been doing this for 8 years and it has always been that way. Listing standings while games are still being played can lead to inaccuracies, especially in leagues like the MAC who play during week games. Teams playing on Tuesday effects the teams playing Wednesday and and Thursday and standings would have to be changed for coaches/teams that didn't even play. Same goes for conferences that play Thursday and Friday games. It leads to a lot of inaccuracies. If someone wants to know where the team is in the standings they can click on the teams page. Only accurate way to do it is to wait until the end of the regular season. Bsuorangecrush (talk) 07:59, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
You've done a hell of a good job keeping the records updated this season. It is something that I would do myself if I had more time. Your work is greatly appreciated. But on this one it would be better to wait a few weeks until the regular season ends and conference standings are final.Bsuorangecrush (talk) 08:13, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
