Did you use some kind of external software in your edit of Silphium? Your edit messed up all the special characters in the article, particularly the in the section on the relationship between this symbol and the shape of silphium seeds. I have fixed this. While this article doesn't have much foreign text, many articles do and could be quite badly damaged by this.--Srleffler 13:00, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi Srleffler, am not aware of any strange software -- did not log in for a long time and now that I finally read your message, I had forgotten I made the edit at all. It was almost certainly with firefox under linux, but I don't remember at which computer or with which default character sets or whatever selected. Will make extra sure that it works next time. Thanks for re-editing.--Erik Postma 21:47, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
