May 2007[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with FFB Recordings. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Smalljim 12:07, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I have proposed your pages for deletion again, as would any editor here who understands what Wikipedia is about - it is an encyclopedia, and is not used for advertising.

For a good explanation of what Wikipedia is about, can I suggest you read the Five pillars page. You probably should read the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest page too. Smalljim 12:26, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Big Dean[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Big Dean, by Speed Air Man, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Big Dean seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Big Dean, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Big Dean itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 10:03, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How to use tags[edit]

Hi, just so you know, SD tags are placed at the top of the article (and the {{hangon}} goes underneath). Moving the tags to the bottom or placing the hangon tag above the SD tag really won't make an admin think "hang on! the tags are at the bottom, this article is surely important!". A small point I know but that is the consensus on where they should be placed, if we all start disregarding the standards here it would fall apart in hours, kthnx--Speed Air Man 10:26, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use Wikipedia to self-promote[edit]

As you appear to be doing with numerous "Big Dean" related articles. Content concerning musical acts should meet our WP:MUSIC guidelines for content. Continuing to recreate these articles after they have been deleted with no evidence that this individual and his work meet WP:MUSIC is only going to lead to those articles being protected from being recreated in the future.--Isotope23 15:26, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on FFB Recordings, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Dirk Beetstra T C 11:19, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have opened a case at WP:COIN#FBB_recordings. I hope you will participate in any discussion there. --Dirk Beetstra T C 11:19, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Forest Fieldz Boyz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

I am also going to ask you to read WP:SOAPBOX. I will leave you a welcome as well with our policies and guidelines. Dirk Beetstra T C 11:37, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
