Do you have any sources for this article? You seem to know quite a bit about him, I would hope that you can provide a source(s) for the article. It was tagged for sppedy deletion, but I talked to the editor who nominated it and fixed it up. It still runs a bit of a risk with no sources though. I had to comment out the sentence about the legend with the cannonball, that definitely needs a source. If you are not sure how to cite a source for it, just leave the info on the talk page for it and I can cite it or see WP:CITE#HOW for more info. I renamed the article as we usually don't include titles like Sir, President, King, General, etc., but there is already a Thomas Duncan article, so (general) is used just to disambigate it.
