Autopatrol
Hi Fixer88, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Fabrictramp | talk to me 23:26, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:American people of Libyan-Jewish descent requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and it is not presently under discussion at Categories for discussion, or at disambiguation categories.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. New Page Review - newsletter No.2
- A HUGE backlog
We now have 811 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.
The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.
- Second set of eyes
Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.
- Abuse
This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and
- this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
- this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
- This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.
Coordinator election
Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

- Still a MASSIVE backlog
We now have 811 New Page Reviewers but despite numerous appeals for help, the backlog has NOT been significantly reduced.

Meaningless DAB pages
Please discontinue creating disambiguation pages for languages you don't know, such as Miechucińskie or Marszewska, which are nonsense. Also, please refresh the meaning of the term "disambiguation page". YOu are creating an extra work for other people to cleanup the mess. YOu may also ask me whether you planned Poland-related dab page would make sense. Staszek Lem (talk) 01:16, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
Please also add template {{WPDAB}} into talk pages of disambig pages you create. It helps bots and wikipedians to keep track things. Staszek Lem (talk) 01:29, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- Staszek Lem, as described in its documentation, {{WPDAB}} should only be added to talk pages that have content. The tracking is done via the hidden category placed by the {{Disambig}} template on the page itself. – Uanfala (talk) 01:44, 28 February 2017 (UTC)

Sava River
While I appreciate hard work you have put in disambiguating links to Sava River and Sava river, it would have been much easier to simply revert undiscussed retargeting of WP:PRIMARYREDIRECTs "Sava river" and "Sava River" to the dab page, which I just did. A lot of effort saved for all involved, and no unnecessary work. No such user (talk) 22:04, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

Just to explain, Category:Suburbs of the Gold Coast, Queensland needs the parent category of Category:Gold Coast City because that is the local government area and suburbs are gazetted wrt to the local government area, which has well-defined boundaries. The term "Gold Coast" and corresponding Gold Coast article are vague and unbounded concepts and and describe Gold Coast City and its surrounds. Due to the popularity of the Gold Coast as a holiday destination in Australia, it suits businesses of the surrounding areas to market themselves as being on "Gold Coast" which in turn leads to a public perception that the Gold Coast is much larger than the official Gold Coast City boundaries. The same is true for most large Australian cities, e.g. Brisbane is vague, whereas City of Brisbane is precise. However, there is no ambiguity about suburbs; they have precise boundaries and their gazettal always documents their local government area. Kerry (talk) 04:02, 8 April 2017 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Mechmont shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. ~ GB fan 12:54, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

Hello. Please avoid disambiguating wikilinks when you don't know what you are doing. It is much better to have a link to a disambiguation page (where the reader can find the specific article) than replacing it with a nonsensical specific link as you did at List of file formats. Speedy deletion declined: Precious Plastic
Hello Fixer88. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Precious Plastic, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There is sufficient context to identify the subject of the article. Thank you. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 16:05, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, I was going to come and explain this better but I see my script dropped this templated advice already. I declined speedy deletion because it was very easy to identify the subject of the article with a simple Google search. Had you picked A7 (no claim of significance) I probably wouldn't have hesitated, but since I looked into it more it seems like the creator is working on a series of articles in their sandbox, and this will eventually be part of it, so instead I moved it to draft space. Let me know if you have any questions. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 16:12, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
