Re: Lauren hertel[edit]

Ummm... I agree with you it is very borderline, searching "Lauren Hertel" brings up 1,220 hits on google though so I dunno. It also really, really badly needs a clean-up. I would put it up for AFD and if its worthy to stay it will be consensussed(?) to stay. Croat Canuck Say hello or just talk 21:56, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Rollback[edit]

I see you quite a bit reverting vandalism, and I thought the rollback feature would be of use to you. It used to be admin-only, but it's now open to almost anyone. It is much more efficient way to revert vandalism, and shouldn't be used when a more detailed edit summary is needed. If you wish for me to remove it, just say so and I'll do it. I've gone through and added the template to all the pages that exist for member nations (full members, that is). The hard part is going to be creating pages for all the members that don't have pages. We have to upload the logo, create the page, make sure the colors match, etc. That's definitely not going to be pretty, but it has to be done. Anthony Hit me up... 15:48, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Nindaywama[edit]

Nope. YOU appear to be promulgating an edit war because of YOUR biased POV. If anyone needs blocking, you do. I'd love to, but I don't have the power. Try blocking yourself instead of threatening me. If you want arbitration YOU request it, or otherwise leave alone. As it stands I still have a lot of work to do on that article - some of todays edits DO require inline references and as soon as I work out how best to do them they'll get them. But in the meantime I really suggest you stick to hockey. And just remember you were the one who amended MY posts first three times. As it stands, your apparent threat to ban/block me brings into the question of Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?. How does Wiki handle that? 81.86.230.16 (talk) 01:06, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Sometimes editors just get busy, or have a lack of interest or lack of knowledge on the subject. You might want to go to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ice Hockey and remind editors to leave a comment. Failing which, you might try Wikipedia:Third opinion or Wikipedia:Editor assistance. I'd like to see it resolved also, but I have no preference to the outcome. New Project[edit]

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 02:57, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Re: Swedish Rookie of the Year[edit]

I am hoping you would be able to write a stub for Årets Rookie. It is the only red link on Template:Elitserien. I don't have any sources for it. Let me know if you can find any. Flibirigit (talk) 17:42, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

I was hoping that too, but haven't got around to it (some things I set out to do never get done). Today I saw a source in English on the Daniel Larsson page. At least it is rather accurate, despite it is a borderline forum/blog entry. The background info about the award is a bit harder to come by. So far I have only seen that in Swedish, most recently here (no English page despite they attempt to be available in English). For example, there are facts to be found there about how much cash the alma mater hockey club of the player gets (the Swedish term is "moderklubb"), which people the jury has been made up of this year, and the short fact note that appears on Elitserien about which the awarding bodies are. There are also short wiki articles Swedish, French, and German. --Bamsefar75 (talk) 08:13, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
The source on the Daniel Larsson page looks good enough. Perhaps someone at Swedish interwiki might know of other sources? Flibirigit (talk) 10:57, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of List of OHA Junior A standings[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of OHA Junior A standings, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Old edit[edit]

Old edit, not serious, but I thought I'd mention it [1] in this series of edits you added some info to the article that was wrong on a couple of accounts and since I've only now gotten around to cleaning it up, I found it. Kangwon Land didn't make the playoffs in their first year finishing 7th of 9 [2] (I realize the title says 04/05 but that is a typo on the AL's part, you can see the 05/06 year on the chart itself) and in the second season they defeated Anyang in the quarter finals, they didn't lose to them. They ended up losing to the Paper Cranes in the semifinals[3].--Crossmr (talk) 02:04, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page

File copyright problem with File:Peters_goal.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Peters_goal.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

The article Ozburn-Hessey Logistics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

With all the puff taken out it has almost no imformation and does not establish notability. Seems like a promotional article. Not encyclopedic.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. File permission problem with File:BullsTeam1999.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:BullsTeam1999.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. Kelly hi! 11:14, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Scale of justice 2.svg Hello, Flibirigit. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Namibia national inline hockey team[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Namibia national inline hockey team has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Trivial and non-notable. Fails WP:GNG. Also see WP:SPORTCRIT. Full of redlinks. Created as part of a large swath of pages by a single user who has since left.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
