Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Chieftec has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability. Tagged for notability since June 2009.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~Kvng (talk) 04:50, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

Cat[edit]

In this edit you changed a cat, leaving it with a cat suggesting it is free. Open-source does not necessarily mean free, and this software does not appear to be free. Am I missing something?--S Philbrick(Talk) 20:24, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

"Free" here refers to free software which is free as in freedom, not as in free beer. The license of the software is the GNU General Public License (GPL) which is a free software license. -- Frap (talk) 20:33, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the response. I guarantee that others will read it differently, so I wish there were a better term, to avoid confusion.--S Philbrick(Talk) 23:00, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
