Thank you for the image=[edit]

I have been trying to get good, 'professional' looking images for Oakland's sitting elected officials. Thank you very much for uploading the one of Libby Schaaf-- it was much appreciated.

Recently, it looked like all my contributions were going to get AFDed out of Wikipedia. Now I can rest assured knowing that there mere "no consensus" about whether my contributions are welcome here or not.

I could have created only finished articles, but I decided to create stubs to invite contribution to this under-covered subject. Thank you for making me feel validated by taking something I did and making it better. --HectorMoffet (talk) 00:50, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are very welcome. I took a crack at the Reid article as well.
I still remember my first encounter with {{afd}} -- 2005-09-23. I am sorry that the culture of collegiality we are all supposed to aim for can't be counted on there. Rather there is a subculture of incivility rampant there.
Individuals who hold National and State/Provincial offices are generally recognized as "notable". More work is necessary to establish the notability of municipal office holders.
Anyhow, keep up the good work! Cheers! Geo Swan (talk) 01:47, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

51 Division[edit]

That's a vastly improved picture now, and you only beat me by a couple of hours. The original clipped one is really bad and I headed down to get a better one - but you got there first. I will add mine later. I suggest you delete your earlier ones from Commons, since they are poor quality and add nothing to our appreciation of the subject. Thanks George. Disambiguation link notification for March 13[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Whatcom Chief, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Washington State (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Trillium[edit]

OK. The Trillium was launched in 1910 - all references except one say that.
The Trillium is not a sternwheeler - just look at it, the paddles are on the side.
I don't want to get into a war over this. I will add some categories (you included none) and leave you to make the changes.
Perhaps we can get some photographs of the plaques and the ship.
Try these for references:

Good luck George. Secondarywaltz (talk) 18:47, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Its been so long I had to go check and see who he was and what I contributed. Some fine changes have been made since I last touched it.
