Thank you very much for your warm welcome :D I'm glad you liked my small contributions. Like you I studied psychology, and even if I'm not working in that field currently, I am actively following some trends, as you might guess from my translation of Psychohistory to french.
Because yes, I am a french contributor and I mainly translate articles from english to french. Do not hesitate to ask for a translation from or to french, especially in the field of Humanistic psychology ! Goutte de pluie (talk) 03:00, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Merci, mais ce ne sera pas nécessaire. Je parle un peu français. Lova Falk talk 18:32, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Goutte de pluie. I'm Elen of the Roads, one of the administrators on the English Wikipedia. Did you know that we have/had an editor called User:La goutte de pluie, currently blocked indefinitely for creating sockpuppets. Bit embarrassing. I wondered if you would like to change your username. The policy is to avoid very similar usernames wherever possible, and also I'm afraid if you stick with this name you are quite likely to keep getting people insisting by mistake that you are a sockpuppet, which could get tiresome. If you decide to do it, there's more information at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple. Let me know if you need any help. Elen of the Roads (talk) 22:59, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Sockpuppets" are fake second accounts some editors try to use to gain advantages in disagreements and are really disliked here on Wikipedia. Nobody Ent 23:08, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well I'd rather not change my name, and I don't intend to. So far I've never had a problem, since my biggest contributions are on the french pages. My first contribution was in February 2011 on the french pages, predating the sock puppet's first in April 2011 on the english pages (as far as I have found). Not that it would make me change my decision if it happened to be the other way around. Best regards. Goutte de pluie (talk) 06:41, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Here, I have an idea : why don't you write in big letters on the top of my user page a statement that explains that I am not a sockpuppet ? This way if I ever run into trouble all I have to do is redirect them on this page.Goutte de pluie (talk) 06:52, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That would work. I've added it to your userpage - see if you like the effect. Elen of the Roads (talk) 16:00, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
