Proposed deletion of Lichtenberg ratio[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Lichtenberg ratio has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This neologism appears in only a handful of very recent books. It seems to originate from a footnote in a web page, but has not been adopted or commented on beyond a few discussions of ISO paper sizes.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Dicklyon (talk) 16:37, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Stop[edit]

You're running a bot under your main account. Please don't do that. DS (talk) 20:44, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

These are single, isolated, manually checked changes. I would think that's rather harmless. Once I even contemplate doing such things more often than once a week I will ask for bot permission on my already existing separate account, which has permission on several other language wikis. It is unfortunate that it is so hard to get this permission on the English Wikipedia; I tried a few years ago and was denied. – gpvos (talk) 21:36, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Re:Dutch-to-English

I would be grateful if you could check quality of google translation (my understanding - National Bank of Belgium agreed to distribute images of the banknotes it has issued using the same rules as euro banknotes) - please reply on http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/File:BEL-500f-rev.jpg Bulwersator (talk) 06:48, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Improving translation support[edit]

Hi Gpvos! We are testing some new ideas to provide better support for the translation of Wikimedia projects and we want to hear from the community.

If you are interested in trying some prototypes and exchange your impressions, you can fill the participation form. Once you have filled the form, we'll contact you to perform a short testing session (less than 30 min. in total) during next weeks.

Thanks

Disambiguation link notification for August 7[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Harriet (name), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Henrietta (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
