New AfD on LoPbN[edit]

You supported retention of the LoPbN tree a couple years ago. At this moment, vote is 8D to 3K on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of people by name (2nd nomination). I assume your views are unchanged, and would appreciate your weighing in again. Thanks in any case, and happy holidays

Notice of Process Inquiry re my msg to you, "New AfD on LoPbN"[edit]

_ _ A colleague has questioned the wisdom and/or propriety of my messages to you and to 14 others, each a retention-voter in a previous LoPbN AfD and/or recently showing heavy interest in LoPbN. For the benefit of the eventual caller of the current AfD, and secondarily as it reflects on my individual behavior and judgement as a Wikipedian, i have undertaken to place this 2nd message before you and the three others who have not acknowledged my respective earlier msgs to you-all.
_ _ I defended my actions in part by asserting the responses to my talk-page messages do not support misgivings on the part of those recipients, while admitting that the non-responding recipients might have been inhibited from responding at least in part by just such misgivings. At my own initiative, i am making this second contact to ensure that at least knowledge of the process question informs your choice to remain silent or comment on the AfD subpage.
_ _ The AfD nomination is stamped 15:44, 31 December 2006; 5x24 hours expires at 15:44, 5 January 2007, approximately (as i post this on the AfD sub-page) whoops, an hour ago, with closer attention of course more likely after midnite UTC, 8 hours hence. I assume potential closers will give it at least a full day from now if any of you have not saved edits between now and then.

AfD nomination of Golems[edit]

I've nominated Golems, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Golems satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Golems and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Golems during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you.Dvandersluis 16:45, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I sent this to the wrong user, oops. Feel free to ignore. –Dvandersluis 06:08, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Category:Fictional settings nomination[edit]

I think you may have made a mistake at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 March 23. Did you want to nominate something other than Category:Fictional settings? I have already recommended withdrawing the duplicate nomination of Category:Fictional settings. If you did not intend to nominate Category:Fictional settings, then I suggest creating a new nomination for the category that you did want to nominate. Otherwise, your nomination will confuse people. Thank you, Dr. Submillimeter 09:11, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Rename Category: Marvel Animated Universe to Marvel animated universe[edit]

I took the liberty of moving this nomination to Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Speedy; it meets the Capitalization fixes criterion. This shortens the decision time to 5 days rather than 7; if it's challenged it will move back to Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 March 23 for discussion.—Chidom

Please forgive this brazilian guy[edit]

I'm sorry if you didn't like this category. I just wanted to help. But you can erase it, no problem.Brazilian Man 14:37, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Albina (mythology)[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Albina (mythology), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Gauntlet (superhero)[edit]

I've been asked to move the above page to Gauntlet (Marvel Comics), probably based on WP:NCC. Looking through the page history I saw you had already performed the reverse move, so I figured it was worth hearing your thoughts. Steve block Talk 19:07, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

  • I forgot that's you Sean, sorry. I'm not up on Marvel these days, but I had a feeling it might be that. Cheers. Steve block Talk 17:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

"Ninjas" (again)[edit]

Remember http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_May_27#Category:Fictional_ninja ?

Well, he kept trying until he eventually won. And now, he wants to make "Ninjas" and "Historical Ninjas" as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_June_7#Several_ninja_categories

This is just stupid, but the mods were on his side: [1][2] and now he wants to change the rest. --HanzoHattori 17:47, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

The Warthog[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Warthog, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. N64 games lists[edit]

Hi, I noticed you were one of the few people that thought the List of Japanese Nintendo 64 games had some useful information and it should be meged, and I wanted to invite you to its talk page to see what we've been working on, however the two normal page maintainers seem to not want to discuss it even the one that tried to delete the Japanese page. So far it seems to be pretty good, with one entry per program and alternate names and region names listed in a separate column next to the main Wikipedia title used here. (Floppydog66 13:37, 24 October 2007 (UTC))

Speedy deletion of Otherkin[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

A tag has been placed on Otherkin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Year page formatting of multiple events[edit]

Hello, I'm sending you this message since you were involved in the August 2005 survey on year pages. As I don't know if you've gathered, somebody has been fighting for a change to the house style on how to notate multiple events on the same date. A discussion is currently in progress - your contribution would be appreciated! -- Smjg (talk) 15:34, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
