I am smoking my pipe. In the rear wall there is the old map of II RP, which belonged to the Polish Consulate in Uruguay until WW II. (I was born in 1952).
Zenon Szwedowski de Korwin, my father, in his youth was Secretary of the Polish Consulate of the II RP in Uruguay till 1945, (1915-2005).
Carlos Szwedowski de Korwin, my son (born in 1985).
María Cristina Bermúdez de Szwedowski, my wife (1953-2012).
María Lucía Laxague de Szwedowski, my mother, (1914-2015) standing outdoors with María Beatriz Laxague, my aunt (1925-2017).

Wiadomo, że Henryk Dobrzański poległ pod Anielinem na "skutek zdrady", jak napisano w komunikacie podpisanym przez jego zastępcę porucznika Marka Szymańskiego pseudonim "Sęp" i adiutanta Henryka Ossowskiego pseudonim "Dołęga". Pochowano go w tajemnicy; wbrew utrzymującej się długo pogłosce - nie miał pogrzebu z honorami. Miejsce jego spoczynku, mimo intensywnych poszukiwań, nadal jest nieznane.

Gracias por tu comentario. Aparentemente mi castellano ya no es tan fluente como antes... perdoname por lo que hago con la lengua de Cervantes... ;)

En cuanto a tu mensaje a Polimerek, se lo he enviado directo, con una pregunta por los motivos de bloqueacion. En mi opinion el problema fue que desde hace unos cien anos la gente en Polonia ya no use escudos ni blasones, y a la mayoria de la gente anadirlos a articulos sobre personajes modernos parece muy, muy extrano. Pero por otro lado la decision de Polimerek me parece aun mas extrana; aparentemente te ha bloqueado sin cualquier voto. Por esto le pregunte por sus motivos y espero que nos envie su respuesta tan pronto como posible.

Porsupuesto le he enviado tu mensaje a Bocianski tambien, pero creo que esto ya no necesita ningun comentario de mi lado.

Gracias. En cuanto al comentario de Jakub H, te pide que no anades enlaces a otras versiones de wikipedia como enlaces externos. Para esto normalmente se usa los enlaces de tipo interwiki (p.ej. en Wieniawa (herb szlachecki) deberias anadir un enlace a [[en:Wieniawa Coat of Arms]] y no a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wieniawa_Coat_of_Arms Wieniawa Coat of Arms]. Hello Gustavo, thank you for your contributions related to Polish nobility. However, would you please familiarize yourself with the category namespace? Categories shouldn't have a lot of text (usually none at all), or links to articles that appear (or should appear) in the categories, or images; all of this just gets in the way. Also, categories should be properly indexed. I have tried to fix this in some of the categories you've worked on, but I've noticed that recently you've been reverting me. I see what you mean. That's actually not a problem with the categories, it's an issue of too many articles in "Category:Polish nobility". The solution is to remove "Category:Polish nobility" from articles such as Hieronim Augustyn Lubomirski. Portuguese orthography questions[edit]

Responding to your question left in my talk page, those words are in Portuguese but one is in Standard Portuguese and the other is in Brazilian Portuguese. To explain it better, Standard Portuguese (Português padrão) or European Portugueses (Português europeu) is the definition of Portuguese language spoke in Portugal, where Poland is know as Polónia; the Brazilian Portuguese (Português brasileiro) is the Portuguese accent of Portuguese language spoke in Brazil, where Poland is known as Polônia. This is one difference between European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese.

Na polskiej Wiki jest artykuł dotyczący tej osoby. Niestety sam nie przetłumaczę go na angielski. Jeśli można prosić o pomoc w tej sprawie to tą drogą zwracam się z taką prośbą. Ficke von Finkenstein CoA[edit]

Greeetings,

I was looking at the article of Finck von Finckenstein on Wiki and I think that it need some correction. First, calling it variation of Ostoja is an old error of some nationalistic polish mind. Then, the list of those that used this CoA should be revided since most of the names on the list did not use this CoA but original Ostoja or it variation. However, there are some families that are linked to Ostoja Clan that used this CoA, for ex. Lniski family. I think therefore, the list should include only those families that used what we call "Ostoja Pruska". Furtheremore, there is a variation of this CoA for the family of Finck de Finkenthal that received nobility in 1805, most knowned as Finke CoA. Also this Finke CoA have nothing to do with Ostoja.

Hunyady/Hunyadi[edit]

The mediaeval Hunyadi family which gave King Mathias to Hungary is not related to the Hunyady de Kéthely family. Some members of the Hunyady de Kéthely claimed some very vague relation to the royal Hunyadi family, and obtained the privilage to use the Hunyadi raven in their coat of arms, but even themselves never produced a plausible genealogy going back to the Hunyadis and historians and genealogists don't consider the two families related. A quick scan of some Polish books suggests the following titles: "wojny 1587– 1588" (war of 1587-1588), "wojna domowa w latach 1587-1588" (civil war of 1587-1588), "Wojna z Maksymilianem" (war with Maximillian). One books calls it an "invasion of Maximillian", and pl wiki in the list of pl wars lists its as "wyprawa Maksymiliana Habsburga po koronę polską " (Maximillian's expedition for the Polish crown).
