Forgive me for not being clear. Policy forbids citing other Wikipedia articles. (See WP:CIRC.)

However, if you're copying information from another Wikipedia article, like the length of US 20 in Illinois, then you should verify the source for US 20's length in Illinois from that article and then copy that source over with the information.

Your addition has been reverted again. You were requested to provide sourcing the first time, which you still have not done. You made two unnecessary changes to U.S. Route 8, both of which have been reverted.

You removed the decimal places on the length of the highway in the infobox. While it may seem odd, US 8 is 22.13+255.55+2.32=280.00 miles in length. If you start with the more precise values of 22.129+255.55+2.322, you get 280.001, but since the Wisconsin measurement only has two decimal places, you have to round to that level of precision, 280.00. That is the number that should appear in the infobox.
You added a lengths table to the Route description section. While this may be a standard feature on other national-level highway articles, US 8 has a full junction list. The lengths of the highway in the three states are given in that table. Thus a lengths table is unneeded clutter. (The intra-state lengths are also present in the infobox just in case.) The articles where it is added have sub-articles by state and don't have a full junction list with the lengths/mileages at state lines.

Please explain why and don't simply assert that they were necessary. I did you the courtesy of an explanation on why I reverted you, which I didn't have to do. Now the burden would be on you to justify the changes and not simply say they were necessary.

Just to summarize, you removed decimal places that were supported by the source material. There is a difference in meaning between 280 mi (450 km) and 280.00 mi (450.62 km). The lengths table is not necessary in this context because the states' lengths are given in the article, while an article like U.S. Route 33 does not have them in another format. Just to follow up: the lengths table was not present when the article was nominate through FAC and judged to be some "Wikipedia's finest work". New Carrollton station

Please reconsider your edits[1][2] to New Carrollton station saying that it was closed during the Platform Improvement Project. The station has Metro rail, Metro bus, MARC, and Amtrak service.
