List of most populous cities in India[edit]

Your edits conflict with the existing sources. To make your edit, you need to cite a source with more current information. The population stated in the article should reflect that of the source.

Please cite sources! People want to be able to verify information on Wikipedia. So, significant edits need have their content cited using reliable sources. See verifiablity. This means that information must be published, and presumably vetted, by reliable groups and individuals. What you should do is to locate a source that supports the edit you wish to make.
