Pushpagiri, Andhra Pradesh[edit]

Moved from my talk page for the second time (I've watch-listed this page, so will see what you write here): Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 01:20, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

I have reverted the changes and was writing in my own language. How does it infringe copyrights? IT IS MY OWN WRITING AND MY OWN PHRASES....

Hnaluru (talk) 10:21, 14 April 2015 (UTC)Hnaluru

Hi! I'm sorry, but you are not permitted to remove the copyvio template from the article; that will be done by someone with experience of cleaning up copyright problems. It usually takes a week or two. If you wish, you can work on a rewrite (click the third "show" at centre right on the template for instructions on how to do that). If you do, please do not copy over any copyright text from the old version. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:44, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Of course, I did that. Can we have this item expedited? I am relying on Wikipedia to give this place a boost so that we can project this poor temple complex dated back to 180 C.E to bring to the notice of UNESCO. This is part of that exercise.

About me, I am a audit/SOX/Finance and quality architect and I do very well know the intellectual property rights. The material I copied may be in a website but the actual reference was in a paper published c.1820 and is well beyond the realm of Indian and international copyright act. So it is for free use and falls under Sharealike 4.0.

Hnaluru (talk) 14:19, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Hnaluru, I'm afraid it doesn't really matter here who you are or what you do in real life; what's needed here is some understanding of, and respect for, the way we do things in Wikipedia. For your consideration:
  • Your understanding of copyright law may be correct; please read about our copyright policy, which is what matters here
  • Wikipedia is most definitely not here to "give a boost" to anything – please read about what Wikipedia is not – and you should not be trying to use it for that purpose
  • The time taken to process copyright violations at WP:CP depends on the number of volunteers and the amount of time they are prepared to spend on sorting out other people's mess; it's usually a week or two, but sometimes longer
  • repeatedly creating versions of the same page at different titles (Pushpagiri, Andhra Pradesh, India; Pushpagiri, Andhra Pradesh/Temp etc.) is a waste of everybody's time (they will inevitably be deleted or redirected), and could be seen as disruptive
  • I assume Harishaluru is you too? Using more than one account is allowed, but misuse of more than one account is not, and can lead to accusations of sockpuppetry.

Speedy deletion again! come on, give me a break![edit]

Justlettersandnumbers, Thank you for putting this on your watchlist. I have sent an email to Permissions-en mail box on why this document should exist on Wikipedia and how this is not plagiarism, original research or improper representation.

My request is to just try to keep this as it is written in good faith. As a long time lover of the articles on Wikipedia, I think this should exist on Wikipedia as a matter of sharing knowledge to everyone. My intention for all means and purposes is not to waste anyone's time, which in a way wasting mine as well, but to throw some light on unknown wonders like this.

When Yunshui deleted the article instead of routing it, I thought my contributions to Wikipedia is a waste of time. Now this Temp page is again tagged for Speedy deletion, I do not understand why what the logic is to deny on Wikipedia any material that is genuinely mine. I think you do agree with me on how painful it is to create all the data again. Why couldn't he have just parked it unders scrutiny instead of deleting?

Yes, Harishaluru is also my account but logged via another computer, which I normally keep logged in for 30 days. I can say that I haven't engaged in any Vandalism or Sock puppetry through any of my accounts.

Please as an admin, suggest me a way to make this article productive without much further ado. I have been using Wikipedia and donating for it anonymously for years but I think, it is of late becoming more and more pedantic with unnecessary scrutiny which discourages the contributors like me.

--Hnaluru (talk) 05:39, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

I did not delete the article, I deleted an unattached Talk page which you had inadvertently created. The text you added is still available in the page history for the actual article.
Whilst using an alternate account from a separate computer is permissible, you need to make it clear that it is an alternate account, by placing a message on that account's talkpage - you should also put a notice on your own talkpage announcing that you operate another account. Failure to do so is sockpuppetry, because you are creating the illusion of two separate individuals editing Wikipedia. Please sort this out as soon as possible; you can use the templates at WP:ALTACC to do so. Yunshui  07:47, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
Okay, now I actually have deleted the /Temp article, because you recreated it again. Please do not do that. The text can't exist on Wikipedia until the OTRS permissions have been accepted, and every time you restore it you are violating Wikipedia's policies - even if, as you claim, the original is your own work. Until you have received confirmation from the OTRS team, please do not restore the disputed text to Wikipedia, on any page. Yunshui  08:25, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
Yunshui, many thanks for your clear explanations here and for deleting Pushpagiri, Andhra Pradesh/Temp. However, there seems to have been a misunderstanding: unless there were copyright violations (I can't see to check), the page at Talk:Pushpagiri, Andhra Pradesh/Temp should not have been deleted, as that is the standard address for copyvio rewrites. If Hnaluru followed the "Follow this link to create the temporary subpage" link on the copyvio template, the page would have had a {{Copyvio/preload}} header (again, I can't see to check). Could I ask you to restore that page unless there are copyright violations in it? I'm asking here so that Hnaluru is aware that I've done so. Many thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:17, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
@Justlettersandnumbers: The talkpage only contained a request not to delete the /Temp article page, which was, as far as I could see an exact copy of the disputed text. /Temp pages are for working on a reworded version of the article, not for storing the copyrighted text until the issue has been resolved. Hnaluru has also previously used the Talk/Temp page for retaining the disputed text, although a version of this text is no longer in the page history as he moved it to Pushpagiri, Andhra Pradesh,India a few days ago. Yunshui  10:46, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
Many thanks, Yunshui!. There's been a misunderstanding, but (predictably) not on your part. Hnaluru, if you want to work on a rewrite of Pushpagiri, Andhra Pradesh, you should do so by following this link. Please do not move the resulting page to any other address, and please do not copy any copyright text to it from the old version of the page or from anywhere else (it'll just be deleted again if you do). Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:02, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Any of my accounts?[edit]

Hnaluru, you wrote here "any of my accounts". How many do you have? Please make sure you follow the advice given above by Yunshui for every one of them. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:26, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Just two... Hnaluru (talk) 16:47, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
