Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent edits, such as the ones to the page Buford, Wyoming, do not conform to our policies. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the "sandbox" rather than in articles.

December 2013[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "HoneyTreeStudios", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it connotes the account is used cooperatively by a business. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Chris Troutman (talk) 22:37, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Request reason:

I used this as a username because its the name of my business... I am a fine artist/graphic designer/and editor/writer. I have a start-of-a-webpage at www.honeytreestudios.com (I applied for singular, but that domain-name was taken). So it's just me. I'm not saying I didn't accidentally "violate your policy," this was just my reasonng. I understand no promotional editing and will certainly abide by your guidelines, (though I and many others remain punctuatedly disconcerted at what Wikipedia admins are permitting to happen to the references to our Buford region; we think that at least a double-redirect or somesuch for the more-than-three hundred families and delivery services there would be proper). Thanks for your time. HoneyTreeStudios (talk) 18:04, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You were blocked because of the fact that your user name appears promotional; since you're confirming that it is, indeed, the name of your business, this is a very valid block. If you want to be unblocked, you need to use the {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} format from the block notice page. You also need to express that you don't plan to promote or advertise your company in any way on Wikipedia. only (talk) 19:21, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
