Thanks for pic of Cirrus des Aigles[edit]

Thankyou for adding a picture to the Cirrus des Aigles article. It is SO hard to get good pictures of European horses. I just want you to know that your contributions to horse racing are very much appreciated. Tigerboy1966  22:11, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 28[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited List of leading Thoroughbred racehorses, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page King Kamehameha (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Gentildonna[edit]

I have started an article for Gentildonna. It is very basic at the moment. Can you add some details? Do you think she will be Japanese Horse of the Year? Or will it be Orfevre again, or maybe Gold Ship? Tigerboy1966  15:25, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

Gentildonna[edit]

She will not run Arima Kinen according by Japanese media, so if Orfevre win the race, I cant' fully proved she can lands Japanese Horse of the Year.

New Article- Heart's Cry (horse)[edit]

Why we love jump racing[edit]

There are lots of reasons:

  • jump horses have racing careers which last up to eight years. This means that they have lots of time to build up a following. The public like their old friends.
  • jump races are unpredictable and exciting. Even the best horses can fall.
  • less money involved means that relatively ordinary people can own really good horses. Most of the owners are rich, but not super-rich
  • there are few championship races, so the best horses have to race against each other.

There are downsides of course. Lots of good horses have been killed in action. Also there isn't much international competition, so we don't know how the best Brritish and Irish horses would match up against horses from USA, Asia and Australia. Tigerboy1966  15:31, 14 March 2013 (UTC)

Novellist[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to this article. Can you hold back for a bit until I get it into shape? Tigerboy1966  15:48, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
