The article Astroburn has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ... discospinster talk 02:10, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of CalculiX, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.calculix.de.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on CalculiX requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Removing Speedy at CalculiX

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from CalculiX. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 09:54, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with CalculiX. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 09:58, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributions in Daemon Tools

[edit]

Hello, ISimpleUser and welcome to Wikipedia.

I see that you have contributed a lot to Daemon Tools article today. However, a great part of your contributions are removed due to the following reasons:

  1. Lack of references: Verifiability is very important in Wikipedia. Highly controversial contents are removed if they lack source. For instance, you must supply a source for "Protect images with password", "edit disc images with powerful Image Editor", "Master bootable discs", etc.
  2. Undue weight: Wikipedia is neither an advertisement platform nor a list of indiscriminate items. Sentences that match either are removed. Please consider contributing descriptive prose that are written from a neutral point of view that have due weight. Features like MountSpace that have no apparent purpose and no reliable source has commented on them must not be put on Wikipedia articles.

For instance this sentence is an example of all above:

"complete solution for disc image emulation. Easy-to-use and time-proven software for virtual disc emulation". You have mentioned emulation twice while it is mentioned five other times in the article. (Redundancy) But who says it is easy-to-use and time-proven it? (Verifiability) Who proved it? (Advertisement) Why do you feel the table right below it will not deliver this message? (Indiscriminate and POV).

Regards,
Fleet Command (talk) 13:58, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I restored part of your contributions after having confirmed that they appear in one of the sources. Now, a source is attached to them. I am really sorry to be the person who deletes other people's contributions, especially newcomers who deserve a warm welcome. But if you had added sources yourself, your contributions would have remained. Cheers. Fleet Command (talk) 13:26, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
ISimpleUser, it so appears that you edit Wikipedia without regard to its policies. Did you even read my previous message? Wikipedia is neither an advertisement platform nor a mirror of computer software websites. This applies to all articles in Wikipedia, including Astroburn and Daemon Tools. Your constant addition of boastful and unduely large description of insignificant things amounts to advertisement and nothing more. Fleet Command (talk) 17:00, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Images of copyright-protected software require compliance with WP:NFCC which your images lack. However, I will leave them be for the time being; you can fix the problem or else an admin will probably come around and delete them.
Still, you are engaged in an edit war. When someone reverts your change, do not reinstate it without a discussion in talk page. Otherwise, you might risk losing your editing privileges. Please read Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. Fleet Command (talk) 15:58, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Astroburn

[edit]

The article Astroburn has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article fails to establish its subject's notability by introducing significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject itself.
