Your recent edits[edit]

There's a policy that you don't remove another editor's comments on a talk page regardless of how pointless you think it is. You may request that the discussion be archived, but that usually isn't done immediately. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:31, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Would you mind linking to that policy? Not calling you a liar or anything, just want to verify it, if you don't mind.--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 00:44, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

I should point out WP:3RR. It's better to view a series of changes and revert them all to avoid breaking the rule. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 07:03, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, I didn't know about that. --Invisiboy42293 (talk) 07:08, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Screamo list[edit]

I like that you sourced The Number 12 Looks Like You, but I don't think you needed to reprimand an editor for removing unsourced material.--3family6 (talk) 02:00, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, he seemed like a newbie so I wanted to inform him for next time. I'm sorry if I was a bit too glib. I'll be more careful next time.--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 02:06, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Emo barnstar[edit]

Emo barnstar.png The Emo Barnstar
I hereby award you the Emo Barnstar for your great work expanding and referencing List of emo artists. The article has been in dire need of attention for a long time. Keep up the great work! IllaZilla (talk) 21:30, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

At least we're making sense[edit]

You and me seem to be the only ones making sense here: Wikipedia:Requests for feedback#2011 June 8. Everyone else is tripping off of colored lights. Ha ha ha! I hope you succeed! Lighthead (talk) 20:54, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

There's not "you're destroying Wikipedia" barnstar[edit]

If there were you'd get one from me. You are using out-of-context phrases to push your WP:POV on several list articles and I wish you'd stop editing before you make it worse. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:41, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Good to hear. Let me know when you find some ground for that.--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 05:23, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
I have found lots of grounds for that not the least of which is your complete ignorance on some of the material you add to articles. As I've pointed-out you use throw-away phrases in one-off album reviews to state that bands fall into categories that no one else would place them in. You can't skew things like that, even with references. You are destroying Wikipedia.

Whatever. Glad to know making sourced additions to a few band lists is corrupting the whole site. You bother me on my talk page for this?--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 05:51, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

October 2011[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of Christian hardcore bands. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:42, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

BTW: I would never report you for edit warring, but our actions on the article are unlikely to go unnoticed. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:03, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

I don't want this to be a fight[edit]

I would like you to carefully ready Wikipedia:Ownership of articles particularly the part on Actions. Your recent actions seem to qualify as classic ownership behaviour. I would like you to step back and recognize that we're not trying to add inaccuracies to the article you just added. We feel that we are removing inaccuracies. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:56, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

Deadlinks[edit]

Just curious. I usually see people delete links that go to non-existent pages, not create them. I noticed you recently created some deadlinks on Emery's page. Why?

-hsxeric

Well, according to WP:REDLINKS, creating deadlinks is permitted, even encouraged, if the linked item in question is notable in its own right (such as the three band members I linked on Emery's page), as this will encourage other users to create an article on that subject. I guess some people remove them because they feel it makes the pages look ugly (even thought that's the whole point), but it's a perfectly acceptable practice among editors.--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 03:31, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Dazzle Vision[edit]

While I do agree that one or more of my sources behind adding Dazzle Vision to the list of screamo bands do not meet the WP:RS, I do however know that both articles describe the band as Screamo. I have also uploaded sound bites of two Dazzle Vision as well and they are screamo, trust me. If you would like, I will expand my sources search and get more references stating that the band is Screamo. KaseyVincent (talk) 23:10, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

It's not me; beside's Wikipedia requiring (read WP:RS and WP:V if you haven't already), screamo is such a contentious genre that artists are constantly getting removed by unregistered users, and if there's no reliable source accompanying the entry, they're fully allowed to do that.
Also, it's not more references you need so much as better ones. I just ran a Google search, and most of the "sources" I found were copies of one of the band's press releases (not usable under WP:PRIMARY). Even one or two sources would be enough, so long as they're reliable and verify the claim made.--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 00:46, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on List_of_Christian_metal_bands. Please comment on the content and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Nine Lashes in Kansas.JPG[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Nine Lashes in Kansas.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:51, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

The real problem with that image was that the name of the uploader is not the same as the one in Flikr, while the Anberlin image has the same name. I will nominate it because I said I would, but I don't expect it to be deleted.
On a completely separate note, that was an amazing picture. Great eye and timing. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 07:09, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
And that file is actually on WikiCommons and not actually on English Wikipedia, and their copyright rules are a bit different. Will follow-up though. --07:22, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
And there it states: "This image was originally posted to Flickr by TOMMY AU PHOTO at http://flickr.com/photos/12217707@N03/5522781506. It was reviewed on 13 March 2011 by the FlickreviewR robot and confirmed to be licensed under the terms of the cc-by-2.0." --Walter Görlitz (talk) 07:24, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
I re-uploaded the image to Wikimedia Commons, so hopefully that will help with some of the issues that got it deleted. For now, I'll wait until it's been reviewed by someone there before adding it back to the article.--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 04:37, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Blanket Statementstein Back From the UK with Swedish Design[edit]

Invisiboy, this is going to be completely non-contentious I assure you, however... When I was in the band Blanket Statementstein, I can honestly claim to you, and Ahron should verify it if asked, that he (Ahron) insisted repeatedly to me the name of the band included "With Swedish Design" after "Back from the UK". Of course A) I'd never make up a foolish thing like that and B) you can ask him, he can deny it. Likewise by the same token I can make the claim. So, is it reasonable to doubt a former member of a band when he says that the lead singer and basically the founder of the whole idea of BSS that everytime, every single time the name of the band came up he told me clearly it was "Blanket Statementstein Back from the UK with Swedish Design". So that's the claim, I don't care either way, it's just not 'non-existent' it's not provable but the fact remains I am making the absurd claim because that was what happened. Maybe he was messing with me but I'm telling you that's what he kept saying when I was their drummer and it always stuck in my head. Plus I think it sounds okay in a way, just I would've never come up with it on my own. --Phaedrx (talk) 03:18, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Re: This Runs Through[edit]

The article was PRODded before and also AfD'ed. The PROD happened earlier this year, which, as a matter of procedure, makes the article ineligible for a second PROD. The AfD was carried out in 2008; since then, the article was re-created. Oftentimes, this would qualify it for speedy deletion under G4, but this new article was worked on by other editors, who added additional materials and sources; since it no longer resembles the deleted version, it'd have to have a second AfD to be deleted. Since the band qualifies under a couple of bullet points of WP:MUSIC as notable, I have contested the PRODs and would vote to keep in AfD, but you are of course free to act as you see fit. Disambiguation link notification for October 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of post-hardcore bands, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Metroland (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

List of Christian metal bands[edit]

Hi Invisibo42293, I noticed that you reverted List of Christian metal bands to a previous version. Unfortunately, some of the disambiguations I put in there got caught in this as well. I hope you don't mind me putting those back in. Thanks! (talk) 18:54, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

The author of the article protested the PROD and rather than get into an argument, I nominated for AfD. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:23, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
