File permission problem with File:Sharad P. Kale addressing students.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sharad P. Kale addressing students.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:12, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop[edit]

Now I see that you have closed an AFD ... improperly. You need to have EXTREMELY good knowledge of policy, the trust of the community, and know the right ways to close AFD's in order to do that. Please focus on learning the simple things before you start performing admin-type things DP 10:15, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have closed the discussion as per as WP:AfD#How_an_AfD_discussion_is_closed. And I only forgot to mention result line while closing the discussion. WOWॐIndian Talk 10:20, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Discussions should be closed by an uninvolved admin. Theroadislong (talk) 10:30, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You are very right Theroadislong but according to WP:AfD#How_an_AfD_discussion_is_closed the AfD nominator can also withdraw the nomination and close a discussion as Speedy Keep #1. WOWॐIndian Talk 10:33, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removing AfD template[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Supernova (Ray LaMontagne album). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot I NotifyOnline 13:58, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Indraprastha[edit]

Please note that if you post any more clueless nonsense on my talk page, I will report you at ANI, and ask that you be blocked from editing as incompetent. AndyTheGrump (talk) 15:04, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It was not nonsense I just asked a question which you haven't answered. WOWॐIndian Talk 15:05, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not interested in arguing - we don't use 'see also' sections for pointless trivia - and I suggest you learn some manners before you post any more obnoxious messages on other contributors talk pages. You clearly don't have a clue what you are doing, and such behaviour only draws more attention to your self-evident incompetence. AndyTheGrump (talk) 15:09, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well, First of all I have not added "see also" section in that article, I just added Indraprastha University under a existing section and you undid revision stating not related to the subject where in the linked article it is clearly mentioned about the Indraprastha under History section. WOWॐIndian Talk 15:16, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Do you want me to report your incompetence and obnoxiousness at WP:ANI? AndyTheGrump (talk) 15:20, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked indefinitely[edit]

So, on the 13th I asked you to slow down because you were disrupting a lot of things. Now, on the 15th, you've had 5 more messages about 5 more problems you've caused. If you are not going to listen to people and slow down, then you are harming the encyclopedia more than you are helping it. I have therefore blocked you from editing indefinitely. I'll add the standard block template below in a minute. --Floquenbeam (talk) 15:22, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

March 2014[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for continuous disruptive editing. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Floquenbeam (talk) 15:23, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

WOWIndian (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

First of all the cause for blocking is unclear itself. Every time I asked for help either directly to the person having problem with my edits or I posted at Teahouse. Even in my last edit I just added Indraprastha University which was reverted by AndyTheGrump stating it was not related with the subject for that I even posted a question on his talk page which he deleted without answering to it. I agree at beginning I made several big changes as a "contributor" right for which I was warned and asked to slow down. Some of senior editors advised me that I should stop doing these thing and do minor edits and create new articles in order to gain some more experience so I followed their command and the result is here. The person blocked me not even thought to warn me :'( WOWॐIndian Talk 15:38, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

First, yes you were warned by Floquenbeam that you would be blocked if you continued with disruptive editing here. Second, You have shown no indication that you actually understand why you were blocked. To make it clear, you were blocked for disruptive editing which was harmful to Wikipedia. Third, you have made no indication that you will change the way you edit to prevent further disruption. kelapstick(bainuu) 17:25, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Regarding the 'Indraprastha University' edit, it should be made clear that the original issue was WOWIndian adding the university to the Indraprastha article 'see also' section, despite the only link being that (along with multiple other Indian institutions etc) the university is named after the ancient city. Not in itself a major issue - 'see also' sections tend to attract trivia from newcomers who don't understand their purpose. However, WOWIndian chose to react to my reverting this addition by slapping a frankly obnoxious message ("Please Stop!!!") on my talk page - despite the recent thread on this talk regarding inappropriate templating of experience users. It seems obvious that WOWIndian isn't willing to take the time to learn how Wikipedia works before rushing headlong into things, and creating a mess in the process. Though this latest incident is of little significance in itself, it seems to illustrate a recurring pattern where WOWIndian escalates minor disputes in an entirely confrontational manner, rather than taking the time to engage in constructive discussion with contributors who are clearly more experienced - see the recent thread on ANI [1], where WOWIndian reported Sitush for supposed 'Disruptive editing' regarding the same Indraprastha article - despite apparently not even having read the said article. As I've made clear, I don't think that WOWIndian has the competence - or the temperament - to be editing Wikipedia. Newcomers make mistakes - we expect that - but when they repeatedly make similar mistakes, and show not even the slightest willingness to learn, eventually we have to say enough is enough. AndyTheGrump (talk) 16:37, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
AndyTheGrump, I added University name in the Indraprastha article under See Also section on the behalf of the information available under the History Section of Indraprastha University, which is sufficient to link these two article. And the ANI reference that you have given above was about the discussion if Indraprastha is present day Delhi or not and for the same a discussion was raised at Talk:Indraprastha#Location. As per my knowledge Wikipedia is based on the references and for the same I had given a Google Book references, that can be found in the log of Indraprastha. WOWॐIndian Talk 16:58, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You really don't get it, do you? All that the Indraprastha University article tells us is that the university is named after the ancient and/or mythical city - something which is obvious from the name of the university. The university article tells us precisely nothing about ancient Indraprastha, and accordingly, there is no reason to add it to the 'see also' section. Such sections are there to provide links to relevant articles, and not as a means to accumulate trivia. If you had asked a polite question about why I had reverted you, I could have explained this - but no, you chose to act in an entirely confrontational manner - and not for the first time. It isn't as if the naming of the university after the city hadn't arisen in discussions before - you had already raised this on the article talk page, where it was made clear that this wasn't relevant to article content. AndyTheGrump (talk) 17:15, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry to say dear neither you nor I can decided which article and the contents should have to be on Wikipedia, I again quotes "Wikipedia is based on References not the arguments." and the details which I added earlier and now had the well-defined reliable references. WOWॐIndian Talk 17:19, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
After being blocked, you still arguing with others. Why don't you listen to them. Many users warned you repeatedly, even I warned you yesterday that if you won't stop then your editing privileges are going to be snatched from you. But then also you did not listen, you continued doing whatsoever you felt good. I was watching your contributions today and just ignored it because I found that giving you suggestions and advices are all in vain. @AndyTheGrump: I adviced him to be polite when talking to experienced editors but he just ignored them. I tried to make him understand how Wikipedia works but it is his fault that he just overlooked the warnings. Jim Carter (talk) 19:41, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Remove the contributions[edit]

Kelapstick Please remove my entire contribution from Wikipedia, if it is really waste. You only saw the problem nor the contributions that I made. WOWॐIndian Talk 17:32, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but Wikipedia does not work that way; once you have made a contribution, it is no longer yours to decide what to do with. --jpgordon::==( o ) 18:20, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I think I have to find out some better solution, I was looking for some legal action firstly the person blocked is for indefinite where my edits were not so disruptive nor the blocker warned me before blocking (he gave a reference that he will blocked me which was an old one where the Wikipedia says that the admin must first warn, then block for some time and if the situation goes beyond then he should be blocked fr indefinite). Well, I have decided to register a petition in the Super Court of India under Section 107 (IPC 1860) against Wikipedia for storing my contribution and not allowing me to access it. WOWॐIndian Talk 06:47, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Whilst you are free to do that, you will be wasting your time - every time you made an edit to Wikipedia, you would have seen the message By clicking the "Save page" button, you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL. You agree that a hyperlink or URL is sufficient attribution under the Creative Commons license.. In saving your edits, you have legally released them for reuse, alteration and amendment by anyone, including Wikipedia itself. Whilst the terms under which you have released your edits require that you receive attribution for them (which you do, in the page histories), your claim to copyright of your work ends there. I doubt that you genuinely intend to file a legal case, but if you do, you will be laughed out of court. Yunshui  08:43, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am going to sue on the behalf of national emblem used in may of userbox(s) and many places some of user had made fun of Indian govt and nationality. I am well aware at least about the laws of my country. WOWॐIndian Talk 13:43, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It requested that please delete my user page. WOWॐIndian Talk 13:44, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have deleted your user page as you requested, you can have it restored at some point in the future if you would like. --kelapstick(bainuu) 13:59, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Your call. I have added making legal threats to the reason for your block; you will not be unblocked while these threats stand or while legal action is ongoing. Yunshui  14:17, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I have decided to register a petition in the Super Court of India under Section 107 (IPC 1860) against Wikipedia for storing my contribution and not allowing me to access it. - @WOWIndian, Hey what do you mean by this. You want to sue in the highest court of India against Wikipedia, I think you must be joking. You know what, you are actually trying to prove how much insane you are. Well, just make it clear Wikipedia is not compulsary, you are here because you want to be here, Wikipedia has not asked you personally to "come and join us". It is you who joined the community (Although you are welcomed) and every community has some rules (after repeated warning from more than one user), if you break some rules then the authority (sysop or > sysop) has the power to punish you. And that was what happened. You broke rules; you got what you deserve. And now you are giving a threat on behalf of India. You haven't got the right to do that. I will take this issue at WT:INB and other Indian users will decide if a legal action (outside Wikipedia) should be taken against you or not.

I will also request to the sysop(s) here that if this person continues to give legal threats, then please take away the privileges from him to post on this talkpage as well. (Because legal threats are national issues which may effect other Indian Users). Thanks. Jim Carter (talk) 14:39, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
