Annulment (Catholic Church)[edit]

The full process before a declaration of nullity becomes definitive was not expressed; I have inserted a passage making this clear. I have also corrected some terms in the section Grounds for nullity, so as to reflect more accurately the precision of the Code.Iuris-can (talk) 12:35, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fellow Canon Law enthusiast[edit]

Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm fascinated by Canon Law, and enjoy editing the relevant articles on Wiki. From your edits and name, it appears you also have and interest in the law. If you ever need help or want to collaborate, just ask!

Good to hear from you. Yes, I am a Canon Law enthusiast too; but with little time for it. I will follow your contributions. Keep it up!Iuris-can (talk) 06:36, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage (Catholic Church) Declaration of Nullity[edit]

The text as it stands can give the impression that a declaration of nullity mainly affects the sacramental nature of a marriage. This is not so. The sacramental nature of a marriage between Christians is simply the result of matrimonial consent validly given. A declaration of nullity finds some essential defect in the consent originally given; hence there was no marriage. It is more accurate to omit the reference to ‘sacramental’.Iuris-can (talk) 06:16, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Code of Canon Law: ecclesiological inspiration[edit]

I have added a short section explaining the new theological-ecclesiological structuring of the 1983 CodeIuris-can (talk) 13:06, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I haven't been on for a while, but that was a great surprise! It really adds a lot of depth to the article. Canon Law Junkie §§§ Talk 04:29, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Monsignor Cormac Burke[edit]

Earlier this year I proposed a new article on Monsignor Cormac Burke, who is one of the best known among English-speaking canon lawyers. But I got no feedback, so it seemed to have gotten lost in the machine. Perhaps in the first version I did not give independent references. So here is a modified text, along with some such references.

Also one can look up the list of his publications on his website Curriculum Vitae (http://www.cormacburke.or.ke/cv/1). It is quite impressive.

But help is needed on proper insertion. And also on how to disambiguate (since there is another Cormac Burke, a footballer)Iuris-can (talk) 12:55, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
