Edit Request

Hi, Could you please help me edit a page ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arnabcricket1989 (talkcontribs) 20:58, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

You need to be more specific. If you're talking about Asim Duttaroy (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs), information added must be supported by reliable sources per Wikipedia's verifiability policy. — JJMC89 22:57, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

IMPS

I have not finished editing this page. My mother who recently passed away was the founder of the organization and we would like this rescue service now the nations largest single Bree's rescue to be noted in the Wikipedia information John Hoving 03:50, 2 July 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hoving (talkcontribs)

Service on the web. It is deserving of this. Please low us to gather the information needed There is no copyright violation as I am working with the rest of the founders to comply with your protocols. John Hoving 03:53, 2 July 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hoving (talkcontribs)

Request regarding the edit of Company of 100 associates

Request you to not to edit the important information regarding Company of 100 Associates. With due respect I have reverted the page to the edit done by you on 03:55, 3 July 2016.
We have purchesed this company and for the referrence we will be providing the website address very soon (within 15-20 days) as the website is under construction.
Request to kindly cooperate till then.
Thanks a lot — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petersmithfrance (talkcontribs) 01:19, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not the place foe you to promote/advertise your company. Content needs to be supported by independent reliable sources per Wikipedia's verifiability policy. You (or anyone else associated with the company) should not be editing the page at all since you have a conflict of interest. — JJMC89 01:25, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
If you check we have not promoted or advertise anything about the company. We just provdied the information about it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petersmithfrance (talkcontribs) 01:35, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
I dont know why you always remove the Services & Emgloyees part. Please check once there is no advertisement or promotion doen in these section. They are the essential part of the company. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petersmithfrance (talkcontribs) 01:37, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
The content is still unsourced, against policy. I'm also not the only one who has reverted you. (Thanks 99) — JJMC89 01:41, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Can you let me know what source you need to verify the management & services section. You are the one who approved theses section after doing the edits on 03:55, 3 July 2016. After few hours you removed it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petersmithfrance (talkcontribs)
I did not approve anything. As I already said, published (preferably independent) reliable sources are needed. Most of that material is unnecessary; this is an encyclopedia, not a directory. — JJMC89 01:52, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
You are sayin if any company provided the information regarding the managment & services then they are using it as directory in that case i suggest you to check the pages of other companies as well as most of them almost 90% of them have mentioned about there services and management as company information holds no value in encyclopedia if the information is not completed — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petersmithfrance (talkcontribs) 01:58, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Sign and properly indent your posts. WP:NOTDIR is aimed at the list of employees that are not top level, e.g. CEO. Also, companies do not directly provide Wikipedia with information because that would be a conflict of interest. Editors write articles based on independent reliable sources. Also, most content should be written as prose and not in list format. — JJMC89 02:08, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
If you check the history the other users have no issues with these parts and intialy even you dont have any problem with it and now as per you all the voiletion is happening. check the hostory on 22:47, 2 July 2016 Niceguyedc (talk | contribs), 16:28, 2 July 2016 Arjayay (talk | contribs), 05:16, 2 July 2016 Magioladitis (talk | contribs) these three did not removed it its you who have sudden problem with it. If you want we can revert it to any of these three edit done because it seems no logic to me in removing these information. if you have the problem with the list of employee then remove that part why management & services part is removed by you? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petersmithfrance (talkcontribs) 02:17, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
If you check in the employee list we have provided the information about - CEO (Which you said we have not mentioned). Thomas A. Kennedy - Chief Executive Officer which stands for CEO — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petersmithfrance (talkcontribs) 02:28, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

This article may be a hoax. See this IP edit which adds a claim that the company has 573,000 employees. An enormous company, of which none of us have heard, that decided to re-found itself in 1985 using the name of an old historic company involved in founding New France. EdJohnston (talk) 03:12, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

@EdJohnston: The most recent changes could be. (I can't believe I didn't notice that number; I even added {{cn}}.) I reverted it back to the 2015 version, since none of the changes have been sourced. I have not looked into the content that was there prior to the recent revisions. — JJMC89 03:21, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
@EdJohnston: Thanks for protecting. The above editor is autoconfirmed, so semi will not prevent him from editing. — JJMC89 03:36, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

Hello There,
Instead of getting the issue resolved, I guess you want this article to be erased or stay like this forever. I removed the copyvio content, left messages at copyright discussion, requested an admin to review the current form of article (without removing the tag) and you reverted my edits to keep admins and clerks confused. If you have raised the issue then be helpful towards clarifying the copyright status of the article as it is mentioned on the tag. Otherwise, let me know how do you want the issue to be resolved? And please, leave messages at copyright discussion before reverting edits of experienced users. Hitro talk 10:21, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

@HitroMilanese: As the template says, do not restore or edit the blanked content on this page until the issue is resolved by an administrator, copyright clerk or OTRS agent. Per WP:Copyright problems § Rewriting content, the rewrite should be done on a temporary subpage of the article's talk page. There were still issues with the version where you removed some of the infringing content. — JJMC89 11:05, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Have you noticed? Right now you are the one who added blatant copyrighted material to the article, use common sense, there are many rules and policies but we should resolve the issues with sensibility. I will be rewriting the article and I know where and how I should rewrite but priority is to get rid of copyrighted materials per WP:DCV. WP:DCV is a policy, it's not something written on template or tag. Thank you. Hitro talk 15:31, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
DCV doesn't say anything about removing infringing content after it is blanked using {{subst:copyvio}}. It only mentions verify[ing] permission for the text or propos[ing] a rewrite. — JJMC89 03:30, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

Hey Could you pls Help in that page anumandai wiki? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sivasan18 (talkcontribs) 18:52, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

Text added to Wikipedia must be written in you own words, see WP:Copyright violations. Also, contributions need to be supported with reliable sources per Wikipedia's verifiability policy. — JJMC89 23:24, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

@Sivasan18: The text was removed because it was unsourced, unreliably sourced, and/or a copyright violation. Wikipedia cannot be used as a reference per WP:CIRCULAR. — JJMC89 15:29, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

You're invited to discuss a merge proposal

Hi there,
As a recent contributor to the Betty Boo article, I thought you might be interested in contributing to the discussion at Talk:Boomania regarding a merge proposal.
Thanks, Ubcule (talk) 20:21, 10 July 2016 (UTC)

I only edited as part of a mass revert and know nothing about the subject. I'll pass on participating. — JJMC89 05:14, 12 July 2016 (UTC)

For letting know how to make artist page for permanent existance

Hello JJMC89 Thanks for creating my account on Wikipedia first of all. Please help me out how can i save artist page on wikipedia. various steps to create page with images of an artist. Thanks Karamjeet Singh (Redacted) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Personalkaramjeet (talkcontribs) 05:11, 12 July 2016 (UTC)

@Personalkaramjeet: I suggest taking a look at WP:42. The artist will need to satisfy out notability requirements for artists. Evidence of notability needs to be cited using reliable sources. I would suggest drafting an article though Wikipedia:Article wizard. Experienced editors are available to answer questions at the Wikipedia:Teahouse if you need any advice. — JJMC89 05:22, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for quick reply so may i start editing article/pages with the help of these help tutorial https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial ? Thank you

Hey JJMC89! Thank you very much for the explanation of the problem. I have requested an edit by someone more neutral. I hope it will not affect the article's content in a negative way :) Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kbpllv (talkcontribs) 16:50, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

Small bug report

Your bot seems to have redirected a page without substituting its contents on the talk page first. (My move today was a different version on top of the version that your bot edited.) — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:33, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Thanks MSGJ. I will look into it when I return from my vacation. — JJMC89 01:07, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
@MSGJ: You substituted the comment into an archive here. — JJMC89 21:26, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
Well spotted! By the way, would you consider a nomination to the Bot Approvals Group? I'm sure your skills would be appreciated. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 10:35, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
@MSGJ: Sorry for the delayed response. In the future I would consider a nomination. Per xaosflux's advice, I think becoming more active at BRFA first would be a good idea. — JJMC89 21:30, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
That sounds like excellent advice, and BRFAs often suffer from lack of attention — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 07:48, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

Thx for fixing my omission of "unsigned" in that "subst" template. The edit-change window is showing that you also changed something around some of the other posts' year-dates but I just don't see it... Anyway, thanks for fixing my error. Shearonink (talk) 03:57, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

No problem Shearonink. I removed unicode control characters. — JJMC89 04:34, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
Ah, the mysterious unicode control characters... shoulda known...sneaky little buggers. Thx again Shearonink (talk) 04:36, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

I see you are already fixing, sorry for any headache - I found my bug, let me know if you need anything. — xaosflux Talk 00:51, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
@Xaosflux: I saw the <ref name="name" /><ref name="name"></ref> issue while checking the trial edits. No worries, all fixed again. — JJMC89 00:58, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

Stop redirecting articles I create

May you please stop redirecting and nominating for deletion all of the articles I contribute or create! You don't even let me finsih reimproving it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrWriter245 (talkcontribs) 15:33, 28 July 2016 (UTC)

@MrWriter245: First, sign your talk page posts. Stop creating articles on topics that are not notable (see WP:N/WP:NMUSIC), then I wouldn't have to take them to AfD. Once an AfD has closed with consensus, you are expected to follow that consensus. For ongoing AfDs you could participate. To challenge the outcome of an AfD (recreate a deleted or redirected article) you need to take it to deletion review. Recreating the article against consensus is disruptive. — JJMC89 15:41, 28 July 2016 (UTC)

AWB task: template:ARKive

Hi,

Thanks for agreeing to help out. All values for {{ARKive}} should now be in Wikidata, and I've just converted it to pull them in. here's a sample edit (note that two, or three, parameters should be removed). As before, please avoid any instances within references. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:50, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

@Andy:  Done The third unnamed parameter was retained in cases where it didn't match the page name to prevent changes in the template's display. — JJMC89 06:41, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
Thanks again. And now, please, {{Fashionmodel}}, {{FJC Bio}}, and Green tickY{{Fide}}, which also use {{PAGENAMEBASE}}. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:58, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
@Andy: These have higher transclusion counts, so I would prefer to run a bot task. Will all the migrations be for external links templates? Has there been prior discussion on migrating them? I don't think it should be controversial, so there might not need to be one. — JJMC89 15:46, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
Fair enough, none that I know of - but lots of precedence ({{Authority control}} being the main example). I've just converted {{Sherdog}}, Green tickY{{JudoInside}}, and {{Soccerbase}} too. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:43, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
@Andy: Are you checking that all transclusions have been migrated Wikidata? AWB cannot check this. — JJMC89 20:37, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
I'm using the HarvestTemplates tool - it won't migrate instances in references (hence my request that you exclude them), nor invalid IDs (so we'd be swapping an invisible error for a more visible one, which is good). It migrates everything else. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:08, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
