He actually notified me. The project is getting so copyright paranoid that I deleted the messages and told the nominator to delete the pics if he felt it was necessary. This is based on my experiences with Lawrence Taylor where I had several covers and images which were sourced as notable and were still deleted. I doubt they will survive but it depends on the admin who does the closing. I'm not going to bother to comment, I've already requested speedy deletion of the other covers I uploaded. Good luck if you try though. Quadzilla99 23:03, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I have posted your arguments and my riposte on AFD as you suggested --Gavin Collins 22:02, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

My RFA

Many thanks for your support at my RFA. It ended successfully and I am now a glorified janitor. If I can be of any assistance please don't hesitate to contact me through my talk page. Happy editing! Ocatecir Talk 18:29, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Kiwi Camara re-nominated for deletion

The article Kiwi Camara has been renominated for deletion. You are being notified of this because of your participation in the first nomination process last year. Please visit the debate page to state your opinion and vote. Thanks. -- ßίζ·קּ‼ (talk | contribs) 01:40, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Masha Allen

Joe,

Go ahead and take it right to DRV. The issue he had with the article was far too trifling to require an IAR speedy. He completely exceeded his authority; let the community call him on it and sanction him as necessary. Daniel Case 15:14, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Armedblowfish and suicidal individuals

Thank you for the reply. For my own knowledge Joe, could you please explain to me what was misguided about Armedblowfish's position regarding the response to potentially suicidal individuals? Or how his position represents a fundamental misunderstanding about the project or demonstrates poor judgment? Am I missing a key piece of information the diffs would not make obvious? What was controversial about it? Best, MoodyGroove 23:20, 3 June 2007 (UTC)MoodyGroove

Thanks, Joe! I appreciate the explanation. MoodyGroove 17:51, 4 June 2007 (UTC)MoodyGroove

YechielMan's RFA

Thank you for participating in either of my unsuccessful requests for adminship. Although the experience was frustrating, it showed me some mistakes I was making, and I hope to learn from those mistakes.

Please take a few minutes to read User:YechielMan/Other stuff/RFA review and advise me how to proceed. Best regards. YechielMan 21:35, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

My RFA

Hello, Jahiegel/Archive 12, and thank you so much for your support in my recent RFA, which passed 59/0/0! I will try very hard to live up to your expectations – please let me know if I can help you in any way, but first take your cookie! Thanks again! KrakatoaKatie 00:48, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

I hail your command of the English language

Hey Jahiegel or Joe. I've been reading some of your comments on talk pages (not exactly amounting to being considered as stalking, in my opinion) and it's truly both amusing and awe-inspiring to see your command of the English language. I just hope that a day will come when I can obtain an equivalent level of mastery. Have a nice day. Zuracech lordum 23:56, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you

Hi Joe, thanks for your note of support at my RfA. Cheers. Shyamal 04:27, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your comments. I am Wikipedia's newest bureaucrat. I will do my best to keep your concerns in mind as I perform my duties. Andre (talk) 09:52, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Appreciated

Your comment to John254 was, in my opinion at least, measured and helpful. I recognize the many dangers of multiple accounts, and admit that it was goading to call John254's mass deletion of critical content from Grover Norquist a "whitewash" (whether or not it was, there's no need to needle other users). But I'm glad also that you see that both sides need to offer good will. --The Cunctator 01:07, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Your writing style

I mean no offense, but your distinctive way of writing comments on talk and project pages is quite a departure from that of most other users. I noticed that it tangentially came up on Talk:Super Bowl XL, Talk:Mike McCarthy, and some other pages in the past. I was wondering if you have some sort of legal training, or just a penchant for verbose, hypercorrected discourse. I ask because, in many cases, such as your comment on my RfB, your (presumed) refactoring and correcting leads to writing that is difficult to parse and oft ungrammatical. I'm not complaining per se, but alerting you to this issue -- if you write less, revise less, or read your comments over again, you might come across more clearly. Andre (talk) 08:25, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

That's fine, I didn't get anything in my e-mail yet though. Andre (talk) 00:26, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

ANI

As a matter of fact, I got blocked for it! This was despite the fact that I didn't revert any more after I read your fairly convincing evidence. I've complained to the admin in question, and if he doesn't cough up something satisfactory, I'll complain on the noticeboard.--Rambutan (talk) 06:58, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Circus metal (again)

Hello. I am messaging you about the recreation (I believe for the fifth time) of the article Circus metal. I have seen you have participated in a previous AfD procedure for the article, and I would think you would be interested to give your opinion in the most recent one. Thanks in advance.

Portal

Sorry Joe, but I don't like the Quotes idea. I was thinking about modeling it after Portal:Cricket, which doesn't have a Quotes section, but it has a featured list section (we have a lot of featured lists at WP:HOCKEY. Also, I don't want the portal (with quotes, in theory here) to have a box jutting out in the middle, creating a lot of white (or pink, in this case) space. Also, I'm doing some housekeeping, and I've deleted a lot of pages like this: "/DYK (00)" Instead, there are only two pages now for DYK, the archives and the page that transcludes on the main portal. I'm thinking of doing it with everything else as well. --Maxim 17:27, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Usurpation preemption

I must apologize for preempting your usurpation request. As it were, I suppose I "deserved" it if only as I "beat you to it." However, I am thankful that you have begun to find peace. While I generally do not believe I "suffered" through birth and rearing in West Virginia, I can, nevertheless, tolerate your misunderstanding, if only to further your own healing.  :)   j    talk   05:41, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! :)

Hi,

You are most sensitive to worry for my sanity at this crucial moment. I take solace only in knowing that this has happened with Dick once or twice before, and we don't seem to have invaded Iran (or Canada, for that matter, since one can hardly know where the deluded focus of his raging vengeance will fall) during those times. Of course, it is possible that we did invade covertly, and all records so stating remain classified "above top secret" in his Capitol Office, that great "separation-of-powers" limbo into which any sin may be sunk forever into darkness. As with other species of black holes, one wonders whether even light could escape from such a place; one also wonders whether there exists another (more shockingly anomalous) singularity where the man's heart should be. Only the the survival of his surgeon, who somehow managed to implant a pace-maker nearby, suggests that his cardiology might be human -- certainly, the tradition metaphors locating emotion in that organ cannot apply to this Dick. Of course, like the Death-Eaters of fiction du jour, any doctor of Dick's may rightly be suspected of inhumanity himself.

On this topic, there is one more observation that must be made: tomorrow, the bowels of the Anti-Christ will lay open for a moment. While no amount of riches could tempt me to view such a sight, I am curious regarding what creatures or other infernal powers might be found lurking inside. Again, I assume only a specially-equipped drone can behold such monstrosities and live to tell of them. Best wishes, :) Xoloz 04:23, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

My RfA

Thank you for participating in My RfA which closed successfully. I am honored and truly more than a little humbled by the support of so many members of the community.
