Use of the [convert: needs a number] template[edit]

Hello Jakec, please make sure that when you use this template, you don't allow nonsense conversions like you did on Meredith Brook which I fixed for you. Your articles are getting a lot of main page exposure so it would be great if we could minimise this kind of embarrassing oversight. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:36, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, I will try to keep that in mind in the future. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 23:00, 3 July 2015 (UTC)

Talk:Black Creek (Susquehanna River)/GA1[edit]

I had some things come up with regards to my (old) job and going back to school and ultimately cannot finish the review. I just couldn't access the necessary articles, and I need to start finding a topic for my thesis project for my honors courses in the fall, so most of my work on Wikipedia will be revolved around it. Please respond when you get this, and find someone else to do what I couldn't with the article. Thanks for reading. LeftAire (talk) 19:26, 3 July 2015 (UTC)

All right, thanks for letting me know. I see another reviewer has already begun. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 23:00, 3 July 2015 (UTC)

Pictures in tables[edit]

Road tables are not supposed to include pictures in them as they are clutter and take up space. If you want to add a picture of one of the quadrant routes to the article feel free to add one to the top of the list in the lead. Dough4872 01:57, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

Another option would be to include a gallery of the pictures below the table instead of the notes column, as that should be used for written notes. Dough4872 01:58, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
Featured lists--the gold standard for lists--require images. I see no reason why any list should be scrubbed of them and shall continue to add more. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 12:18, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

Your reversion to Jeddo Tunnel[edit]

Hello Jakec,

Please further explain your reversion, either on the article's talk page or mine. Simply stating that you think some relevent content was removed is not sufficient. Your reversion removed several citations I added for verifable empirical facts. The article's grammar is arguably poor and several sections mix historical with current descriptive content. I'm going to allow some time for you to respond before I revert back the many changes I did.

Respectfully,

Pageographer 23:39, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

The article was already perfectly referenced, therefore any additional citations would be redundant. I did not see you add any citations; only removing reliably sourced content. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 23:48, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
Please cite specific examples where "reliably sourced content" was removed. I added a citation of a report by SRBC and it is referenced twice in the article, as reference #5.--User:Pageographer (talk)

Woodland Meadows[edit]

reconsider? Created by people who are very likely undisclosed paid editors per Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#Woodland_Meadows and sourced only to WP:SPS. Doesn't get much more promotional than that... Jytdog (talk) 18:48, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

@Jytdog: I wasn't aware that it was written by paid editors, but I still judge G11s solely by the article content. The text in this case seems relatively neutral and informative, free from promotional language. AFAICT, there are at least two references to The Columbus Dispatch, one to Columbus Underground, and two to official documentation. I have no strong opinion on the subject's notability, so (as I explained in my edit summary), I have no prejudice against AFD.
BTW, it really does get a lot more promotional than that. I've seen it for myself. ;) --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 19:38, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Papakating Creek[edit]

In case you're curious, the sandboxed beginning of a draft for a rewrite of Papakating Creek. The level of detail to be expected here is appropriate for a 20-mile river through the northern half of a county. For a 2.4 mile stream you can walk down the centre of without fully immersing your shoes, of which no one has deemed significant enough to address with its own reliable sources, Neepaulakating Creek is IMHO appropriately scaled. Comparatively, neither of them are the Amazon. JackTheVicar (talk) 19:26, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Neepaulakating Creek GA[edit]

Are you going to complete the review? because I think your comment of "you complete it, I don't really care" was rather flippant--like a thwarted kid picking up his toys and going home. Finish what you started, otherwise I can only assume to characterise the delay of the last two days--while you worked on other things--to be purposefully dilatory and petulant in light of the outcome of the requested second opinion.JackTheVicar (talk) 13:09, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
