A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Jameshward3, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I'm Sorry, but I or another admin have deleted content from your user space.

User pages and User talk pages are intended only to promote collegiality among users. They are not to be used as a soapbox for writings not connected with the editorial process on Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a free webhosting service--not a personal website, blog, or social media site, nor are user pages intended to host articles, CV/resumés or a lengthy autobiography. Wikipedia is not a promotional venue or a place to post ads.

More information is available at THIS PAGE.

User space and User sandboxes should not contain promotional material or material unconnected with improving Wikipedia, see above.

User space is not intended to contain articles. Please use the Article wizard for drafting articles, or use the Articles for creation process. Subjects of encyclopedia articles must have significant verifiable information from reliable sources unconnected with the subject.

You might want to look at Wikipedia:Userboxes#Gallery as a means of telling colleagues about yourself.

Wikipedia:User page design center has information that can help you design a user page.

This message is not meant to discourage you from editing Wikipedia but rather to remind you that the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you.

There is more information at Wikipedia:Community portal Cheers, and happy editing. -- Deepfriedokra 02:10, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:James "Bud" Ward, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Comments[edit]

Please be civil. If you accuse people of racism without foundation, you may find yourself blocked. Your page was deleted because you either didn't read or didn't understand our rules, not because of your race. This isn't Twitter, and you will have to desist from abusing other editors and assume good faith.

You have an obvious conflict of interest, please don't write about yourself, your friends or relatives and read the following guidance regarding writing an article.

  • When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. Much of your text was unsourced.
  • you must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews. Your text was not a neutral encyclopaedia article, it was was written like an obituary, full of opinions and praise, rather than actual facts. He may have been a great man, but we don't want a hagiography from his friends or family.
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article.

If you still don't understand why your draft was deleted, or want help in trying again, feel free to post on my talk page, Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:44, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
