Speedy deletion of Template:Clay target shooting

Olympic highlights
Hi Jao. I noticed you removed the gymnastics bit from August 12. I added it especially because the US not at all expected to medal, and the Chinese were under extreme pressure to win. Also, if this is not worthy of inclusion in the article, why do we list stuff like, "Norway qualifies for the quarterfinals of the women's football tournament with a 1–0 win over New Zealand" or other seemingly routine scores? Date formats after autoformatting
With the recent deprecation of date autoformatting, "raw" dates are becoming increasingly visible on Wikipedia. Strong views are being expressed, and even some edit-warring here and there. A poll has been initiated to gauge community support to help us develop wording in the Manual of Style that reflects a workable consensus. As you have recently commented on date formats, your input would be helpful in getting this right. Four options have been put forward, summarised as:
- Use whatever format matches the variety of English used in the article
- For English-speaking countries, use the format used in the country, for non-English-speaking countries, use the format chosen by the first editor that added a date to the article
- Use International format, except for U.S.-related articles
- Use the format used in the country

The game of Chess originated in India. That fact is mentioned in the Chess article. Yet this user, doesnt want the article to start off by saying it origintated from India. No he wants the article to say that the modern version came from southern Europe. ANd the reason he is ok with that, is beucsae he feels it is mentioned that an older version came from Indian and Persian origin........but........there is a difference between saying CHESS CAME FROM INDIA.....and chess came from Indian and Perisan origin. I mean to a user who does not know anything about chess, he/she might say o ok the modern version came from SOuthern EUrope, but origintated from BOTH India and Persia. And that is kind of mis-leading. I mean if chess originated from India, which is a fact used in this article, then that should be mentioned towards the top of the article. I mean there is a HUGE difference between saying something like CHESS CAME FROM INDIA, compared to saying something like THE MODERN VERSION CAME FROM SOUTHERN EUROPE, WHICH CAME FROM INDIAN AND PERSIAN ORIGIN......I mean seroiusly......why not just start it off simply, by saying CHESS CAME FROM INDIA, AND THEN SAY IT CAME TO MODERN EUROPE? AND THEN IF YOU LIKE YOU CAN SAY IT CAME FROM INDIA AND PERSIA. WOULDNT THAT BE MORE FAIR? WOULDNT THAT BE MORE DETAILED? BUT NO, THIS USER DOES NOT WANT TO BE FAIR. THIS USER JAY HAS TO HAVE THE ARTICLE SAY IT CAME FROM MODERN EUROPE, FROM INDIAN AND PERSIAN ORIGIN......BUT HE CANNOT HAVE THE ARTICLE START OFF BY SAYING IT CAME FROM INDIA, WHICH BY THE WAY, THERE IS A SOURCE FOR THAT IN THE CHESS ARTICLE.

I was stunned to see the discussion on this closed as "no consensus, default to keep", since very few people suggested an outright keep, and most would have been satisfied with a merge. I honestly don't think the closing administrator paid attention to any of the comments. Regardless of how you felt on this issue-- delete, merge, keep -- I think that everyone's comments showed that a lot of people care about this issue, and "no consensus" was similar to a snub.
