List of countries by GDP per capita (Atlas Method)[edit]

Thanks for List of countries by GDP per capita (Atlas Method). However the table actually lists GNI per capita, not GDP per capita. Now retitled List of countries by GNI per capita. Important to get it right. --Tagishsimon (talk) 19:21, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Covalent Solar[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Covalent Solar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mayalld (talk) 15:39, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

WP:WikiProject Chile[edit]

Hello! Recently, the activity of the WikiProject Chile has been brought into question, so I have assessed the level of participation of all its members, ranking you as semi-active (less than 10 edits to Chile-related articles in the last 3 months). If you feel this assessment was in error, feel free to adjust it, and please accept this as an invitation to return and join the 6 other active Chile project members. Thanks! Disambiguation link notification for April 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Brain-to-body mass ratio, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page TED (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ways to improve List of deepest caves[edit]

Hi, I'm Mz7. Jbaranao, thanks for creating List of deepest caves!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. It is a good start. The next step is to cite reliable sources to verify the information in the list. Make sure you provide enough sources to show that the "deepest caves" are a subject often discussed in a group with each other.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Mz7 (talk) 23:29, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

January 2015[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to George Sand may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

List of best-selling music artists[edit]

The order of the images is based on which artist has the highest certified sales. it's not based on claimed figures. When you hit the Edit button, there is a hidden message there written in capital letters, which says DO NOT ADD ANYMORE IMAGES OR REPLACE THE ARTISTS. WE ARE TO HAVE SEVEN IMAGES OF THE TOP CERTIFIED ARTISTS ONLY, WITH THE ONE HAVING THE MOST CERTIFIED SALES AT THE TOP..--Harout72 (talk) 15:18, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

Major[edit]

Because there are also plenty of sources that treat the story as accurate. Furthermore, there is no suggestion in any of the articles you've edited that the story is true; if anything, I've tried to make it clear the story may be apocryphal. – PeeJay 13:44, 24 October 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Jbaranao, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to The Water Diviner has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 01:55, 23 January 2016 (UTC)

Growth of photovoltaics[edit]

Thanks for adding the 2015 data on the top countries for 2015 but, for the sake of consistency should this data not have gone further down the page under the subheading Deployment by country? Jamaica solar (talk) 14:38, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

I didn't notice that other section, thanks!. In my opinion, one of those two should be deleted --Jbaranao (talk) 19:25, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
